They'll have a contingency plan for Pendles missing at least 1 game so expect big prime time MCG clashes for Collingwood for 2 weeks after ANZAC Day. (yes, yes, that's every week for Collingwood, I know)

Well they won’t be Friday matches in round 8 or 9 as they are already out.
We often play Collingwood in round 8 for some reason.
Could be Pies v Cats in round 8 or 9 but it won’t be a Friday.

The Prelim Finalists from the year before, should get the lions share of Prime time games. Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn and Collingwood should be the main attractions next year. Adelaide, Gold Coast, Fremantle and GWS should have the next rung bellow. Carlton and Essendon should be off broadway completely.

Good, bad or indifferent, Carlton will be a massive drawcard for attendances and TV viewers in 2026. You'll need to get used to it unfortunately.

Yeah I really don't get why we can't do this.

A 7pm game on Friday night would work so much better here and screw the away fans it's our home game, either stay up or don't.

I think North might’ve just released their fixture? The opponents at least, not times, on their socials. Looks like Adelaide R1, West Coast R2 (which I think is consistent with that I’ve seen on here), then Geelong, then it’ll be Good Friday but Dan Gorringe is narrating it so they left Carlton till the end. Then says Brisbane which is GR, then Essendon, Melbourne, PA, Richmond, St Kilda, Collingwood, then they had Carlton at the end.

It would be beneficial for them but the TV networks won't want that with all the money they've paid for the rights. Would be reasonable to expect a mix of these clubs and a mix of the big clubs but the AFL don't have a reasonable bone in their bodies.
