Well they won’t be Friday matches in round 8 or 9 as they are already out. They'll have a contingency plan for Pendles missing at least 1 game so expect big prime time MCG clashes for Collingwood for 2 weeks after ANZAC Day. (yes, yes, that's every week for Collingwood, I know)
Good, bad or indifferent, Carlton will be a massive drawcard for attendances and TV viewers in 2026. You'll need to get used to it unfortunately. The Prelim Finalists from the year before, should get the lions share of Prime time games. Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn and Collingwood should be the main attractions next year. Adelaide, Gold Coast, Fremantle and GWS should have the next rung bellow. Carlton and Essendon should be off broadway completely.

If you get the job make Collingwood play 8 interstate games? How do I apply for a job doing the AFL fixture?
If you aim to make it fair or balanced at all, they won’t hire you!How do I apply for a job doing the AFL fixture?
Apply for a job at chatgpt I guess. How do I apply for a job doing the AFL fixture?
Yeah I really don't get why we can't do this.If they really want 2 games on a Friday night make it less of an overlap.
Game 1 starts at 7PM, gane 2 a WA gane starting at 9pm
That will work well when the Suns and Giants are primetime with their massive fanbases watching on.The Prelim Finalists from the year before, should get the lions share of Prime time games. Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn and Collingwood should be the main attractions next year. Adelaide, Gold Coast, Fremantle and GWS should have the next rung bellow. Carlton and Essendon should be off broadway completely.
They will be given the best chance to grow their fan bases by being given those games. That will work well when the Suns and Giants are primetime with their massive fanbases watching on.
Nah 10If you get the job make Collingwood play 8 interstate games?
King's birthday in Alice Springs. Love it.Nah 10
Although that makes sense the AFL often plays pets with certain teamsThe Prelim Finalists from the year before, should get the lions share of Prime time games. Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn and Collingwood should be the main attractions next year. Adelaide, Gold Coast, Fremantle and GWS should have the next rung bellow. Carlton and Essendon should be off broadway completely.
North should be trying for 4-2 with that fixtureI think North might’ve just released their fixture? The opponents at least, not times, on their socials. Looks like Adelaide R1, West Coast R2 (which I think is consistent with that I’ve seen on here), then Geelong, then it’ll be Good Friday but Dan Gorringe is narrating it so they may have left out Carlton? Then says Brisbane which is GR, then Essendon. After that it seems to be alphabetical.
Yeah but probably won’t be. That may be wrong it’s out in a few minutes anyways.North should be trying for 4-2 with that fixture
Over a 5 year periodIf you get the job make Collingwood play 8 interstate games?
It would be beneficial for them but the TV networks won't want that with all the money they've paid for the rights. Would be reasonable to expect a mix of these clubs and a mix of the big clubs but the AFL don't have a reasonable bone in their bodies. They will be given the best chance to grow their fan bases by being given those games.
