I reckon CDT and Robey will be off the table at picks 2 and 3. Richmond will want 2 x 1sts to overlook Robey which we wont get.

Any sort of trade up scenario then involves either Essington (e.g pick 5 and 21) or Melbourne (eg pick 7 and a future 2nd) reaching for Taylor or Sharp.

In reality, either way I think our first 2 picks will most likely be Robey at 3 and Grlj at 4, 5 or 7.

Think because outside the 7 goal game he did not much and medium forwards aren't exactly sexy. He then apparently dominated a couple of SANFL 18's games in the midfield but most people can't watch those games so they may as well have not happened for us casuals lol

Been watching who has been kicking all the goals the last handful of grand finals.
Taylor gets that job, just like floss and grimes.

Another soft outside player for the Dees to add alongside Windsor.

Dees are a club generally that arent affraid to throw 1st rounders around. As i said if they have as bigger hard on for Robey as everyone reckons they do i could see them dealing 7 and 8 for 3 (Robey) and future 2nd potentially.

Would potentially leave us with Sharp or Cumming, Taylor and Grjl

**** knows its all guesswork really but for me the big deciding factor is

Do we want Robey?

I don't think a rebounding defender is the missing piece of our puzzle. We need gun onballers and gun onballers get drafted early. Whether they work out is another thing, but that's the same for every player in every position.

If we were coming off a flag, by all means happy to get Xavier Taylor in the first round because half back flankers are nice to have at pick 18 or whatever, and it goes without saying that if you are coming off a flag your onball division is doing pretty good.

Last year we stocked up on talls, and got the onball division half sorted. I want onballers this year, and next year when we start creeping up the ladder, we can get a nice rebounding defender with a pick later than this year. This is just common sense.

Give it 12 months (or 12 days) and I will probably have forgotten who I wanted though.

Most of his comparisons have been Josh Weddle .. is Josh Weddle a third defender ?
Is Steven May too short to be a key defender ?
