So after 2 games we get a 17 day break, and then a 5 day break.
WTF?

The AFL do diabolical fixturing well.

13 of the last 18 games against the Swans has been in Sydney. One of those games in Queensland.

I have starting at 3-1 before finishing on no more than 10 wins. Would be roughly a 11th-12th placing.

I am expecting us to finish 11th, Dillon panics and then goes back to a top 8.

5 of our first 10 games interstate isn't ideal but can't really complain when you see what West Coast and Freo deal with but surely if each Melbourne club has to play 5 - 6 interstate games....how hard would it be to fixture a interstate game every 4 weeks for the Vic teams?

Playing Adelaide for gather round again is disgraceful......I would be hoping that Graham Wright would be asking for a please explain on why we have copped a home team twice in 4 years and why Brisbane have copped North and Melbourne have copped Essendon 3 out of 4 Gather rounds.

our draw is super weird , so many interstate games cluttered .. no game against swans at the MCG when the AFL is all about cash and marvel last 5 games
Our double ups are fine , I only rate Brisbane

To me the oddity is our melbourne game at the G whereas our St Kilda home game is at Marvel

Woudlve have thought St Kilda at the G would draw a bigger crowd than melbourne

Gotta make use of that easier first half of the draw.

Hawks, Pies, Suns, Lions, Saints, Dogs, Freo run home. Saints probably the only ones you wouldn't call "good"

I agree but maybe because we traditionally play Melbourne at the G could be a reason… I would have thought our home game should be at the G for the saints and sydney at the G.. AFL didn’t get our memo

Unpopular but Marvel is way better than the G. The roof, smaller stands and choice of food makes it such a good experience as a spectator.
Agree to diasgree.
I live bayside and to get to the ground by train and out is awful.
Atmosphere is seriously lacking.
Food relatively expensive.
And, as mentioned I've been to many sold out games with 45-48k spectators. Capacity is approx 56k. Large blocks of L2 partailly filled. (Medallion Club etc.)
For me the G wins hands down.
We have over 100k members, or at least we did, other than the obvious GWS, Freo, GC, Port. we should avoid the place.

I lived in Brighton for 20 years.

Its not awful to get there lol.You have to change trains once. Obviously getting off at Richmond is easier but its really only an extra 10-15 min each way. Same for driving.

I worked match days at the G for 5 years. Its gone down hill over time while Marvel keeps improving.
