Rant#2 - If the Pies aren't travelling for Opening Round, RD.3 should've been Friday night under lights at Engie if the game wasn't going to be played at the MCG, No games at the G - the Pies at the G on a Friday night would've been well deserved for our ladder position past few years

Where's our double up against the Dogs, should be a Friday night / Saturday twilight at Engie or apart of the Anzac weekend at Canberra

Looks like they've managed the Easter Show period a bit better this year. We have the bye, Swans away and a Canberra game during that time.

Shouldn't be too punishing and will allow the players to spend a fair bit of time at home.

Still think AFL should have fixtures Collingwood for our Opening Round match as done in previous years. Just because Collingwood didn’t want it, is not a good reason for the AFL to cave in. Collingwood don’t run the league, and the AFL should think about the national interest of the game. That said, playing Hawthorn will motivate our team to start the season with a win against the side that knocked us out in the finals this year.

You literally play away against a team twice at your home ground, not theirs. Before round 11. Only travelling 3 times to that point.

Protected doesn’t even cover the blow jobs you guys get from the “AFL”.

Hopefully a team will be locked into 10th before the final round of the season. Rest a good chunk of their players then come out a smash the 7th placed team who were fighting for a top 4 spot in the last round.

Lowest 2 losers eliminated, then
If favourite's win 1vs8, 2vs 7, 3vs 6, 4th vs 5th, all games knockout.
Means top 3 can afford to lose a game.
This system has flaws off course, but better than wildcard round in some ways.
