Hey fellas, I'm looking at playing some footy around south-east Melbourne this year but I'm not very familiar with the league systems and which league would be suitable for me. I've played footy casually growing up and some in rural NSW but pretty casual stuff. Is SNFL Div 2 Reserves better then Div 4 seniors for example? Or how does it compare to Vafa Divisions? Any advice on grading would be well appreciated. Thanks Boys.

The reserves are better than the D4 stuff, depends if you want coin or not.
VAFA is amateur so no money. If you are half decent then you can go to D3/4 and get a couple hundred bucks

Hey mate, as the other poster said if you want coin you’re gonna want to play SFNL or EFNL, if not then VAFA would be the way to go.
And yep imo D2 ressies would crap all over D3/4 VAFA (I presume you’re talking about VAFA, would be a lot closer in D3/4 SFNL).
Some clubs you could consider:

• Moorabin (D4)
• Ashwood (D4)
• Endeavour Hills (D3)
• Black Rock (D3)

South East Melbourne is a bit vague so you could literally go anywhere from Cranbourne to St Kilda City if you wanted to. Just some ideas in D3/4 SFNL
