Who out of Culley, Fritsch or Langford is Nairn pushing out of the team?

Happy for Howes and Adams to be dropped, even delisted to be honest.
in the future? culley and fritsch obviously. he's 18. we're not drafting for 2026, what world are you in! drafting for 2028-2038.

melksham and mihocek will be well and truly gone. amongst about 10 others...

Laser will have a breakout season under King.
Langford goes into the middle in place of Petracca, Nairn goes to the wing.

Promising everyone else this will be the last time I get sucked in today...

Culley is an absolute jet, getting him made up for the ****up Tholstrup. Nairn won’t get close to replacing him.

Dude, you sound how i sound haha. i get the frustration but lets be real. youve never seen Nairn play live, you havent tracked his development, heard his interviews, followed his roles at all different levels. just clicked on a few youtube links. I get that his vision isnt all that impressive but they'll have a good reason. As do several other clubs that have shown immense interest in him in the first round.

Culley hasnt been good enough for long enough. Too small a sample size. but i hope you're right. And name 1 thing that Culley does better than Nairn anyway? They look similar to me.

Who do you want us to draft that will realistically be in the mix?

Culley looks like he can win a ground contest better. He is closer to a Brownlow than anyone else on our list is.

Culley and Nairn look similarly paced and Nairn is definitely great in the air. Culley is not quick. Anyway, Culley did some nice things but 13 touches a game in the last 4 games isnt moving the needle for me.

He got injured in one of those matches and subbed which would have messed up his average. Also don’t trust anyone’s stats under Goodwin.

Nairn only got 11 disposals in his 7 goal breakout game that everyone keeps talking about for perspective.

14.6 touches a game in the 3 games for culley amd 1 goal a game. but one of those games was against wce where he kicked 2.

As i said, you havent seen Nairn play live. so lets stop the Nairn talk. People say i go early. At least i see how they train first before making a comment. Even if we got Schubert who looks poor in vision i would give them the benefit of the doubt until seeing them live. But all good, i get the frustration :)

And those under 18 games are whack. theyre shorter and have more rotations and he was playing deep 50m. he's had 30 touches in games in the midfield in different teams.

Mate, just because I havnt seen someone play live doesn’t mean I cant discuss them. If that rule applied it would be a bloody quiet thread because most of us have jobs and can’t travel the country to watch every kid play live. Bit of an elitist sentiment if someone has and says otherwise.

Anyway for me it’s
Pick 7 (Whoever slides out of Taylor/Grlj/Cumming)
Pick 8 Farrow
Pick 33 Kickett

Will happily take Spargo 2.0 as well over Nairn.

i agree. u 100% can. Hell i do all the time. I love draft season when we have early picks.

Im surprised no-one is discussing who we pick if Grlj and Sharp isnt chosen by rich and ess respectively because it means Taylor/cumming/robey/farrow are all off the board. because we havent been linked to Grlj or Sharp

We're not interested in Sharp at all, concerns over his leg speed I believe, and don't think there's much interest in Grlj.

We been crying out for a speedy nuggety agile midfielder for years after playing the 3 plodding amigos for a decade so it’s crazy we are not interested in Grlj

Reminds me of that time when we had that strange disinterest for Josh Kelly

yeah, I've heard that too. so who do we reckon we take if Rich don't take Grlj and Ess don't take Sharp. It means it's open to literally anyone. Also haven't been linked to Dovaston, Thredgold. etc. Geez, could it be Schubert?

Agree with this. King want to take the game on. So JT must have concerns over his game

So you're saying Nairn is efficient with his disposal as a forward? I'm sold. Get him in.

Not sure obsession with Pickett, bloke failed to get drafted for free by Port, played a few good games end of this season and now partly because of his name is the best thing since sliced bread.

Didn’t he get dropped from SANFL seniors late in the season to?

I am guessing he may even be available still at our pick 33 and it’s all media conjecture.
I'm not obsessed with pickett, just like the idea of running a more dynamic forward line.

I personally don't believe too much in the notion of reaching. If we take Nairn at 7/8 it's because JT rates him at 7/8. The idea that someone is a bolter is just a made up thing because someone like Twomey who doesn't watch 5% of the amount of games doesn't rank him higher.

Twomey has good intel in other areas though and when he says that he doesn't think there will be any pick swapping in the early part of the draft, I tend to believe him. Xavier Taylor/Robey/Cumming would be amazing gets but I think all will be gone before they get to us.

We need to pray that Richmond select Grlj. And then Essendon opt for Sharp. That would really open things up for us.
Or something random like Ess going for Schubert. Fingers crossed something like that happens.

I would be tempted to work something out with blues and pick 9 or 11 and GC F1. Just having us not nominate Dean with our picks would be a fair sweetener and worth the risk to them (that tigers/ess don't bid).
