We will take him as a rookie listed player or at best after pick #40What ever happened to Kellaway? Will he be bid on, and where?
There were talks of him being bid on in the top 30 earlier in the year, but I haven’t heard much about him since

I understand the argument about taking the best player - you want as much elite talent you can get and you find a way to make it work. But I’d love to know where the line for always taking the best available player starts and stops. This is why I’m hoping my chat with Rhy post draft we can ask all those specific types of questions.
Unfortunately they are always going to be guarded with controlled questions pre draft which is understandable.
But I encourage everyone to load up on post draft questions so we can dig a bit deeper!
I would take just 5 & 9 for our pick #3Picks 5, 9 and a F2 to move up 2-3 spots? That’s way overs surely. I’d be taking that deal for 3.
Why? He might be rated as the 2nd or 3rd best player according to our recruitment team. Don't worry about casual draft watchers and what they say, our recruiting team have been tracking these kids for the last 3 years.Rhy Gieschen in a recent interview said Richmond will be picking best available talent with picks 3 and 4 while drafting for list needs with their later picks. So I think that rules out Richmond drafting Sam Grlj that early.

they are the meat in a shit sandwich this yearSounds like Carlton got spooked
The only way it would be for our pick 3 is if West Coast want Sharp and our bullshit campaign pretending we would touch him with a barge pole spooks them into taking him at 2. Then we could trade 3 and FF2 to Essington, they take CDT, and we collect Robey, Taylor/Cumming, and Phillipou.Rumour has it that Dons looking to bundle up picks 5, Carlton’s pick 9 and a future second to get CDT and a future something back apparently. Not sure if it’s for west coasts pick 2 or Richmond pick 3.
No you don’tI feel bad doing this to you mate but...

Probably Essendon's 21 27 30. Maybe Carlton give back 9 and 43. Gives Carlton more points. So what does Carlton get for giving up pick 9?
The main one I'd like to know is how they weight/evaluate late U18 form (i.e. Robey) compared to a player who's been known as a top talent in the system for a couple of years. I suspect that they knew about Robey long before he got attention here, but it would be interesting to know how CTL finals performance compares to U18 champs when it comes to evaluation. This is why I’m hoping my chat with Rhy post draft we can ask all those specific types of questions.

There's probably just as much they won't say post draft either though, as those kids are now on a list and we're not going to say too much about another club's players.Post draft is definitely the better approach. They aren't going to tell us anything pre draft
Yeah I remember at a post draft function we implied we were going to take Koby Stevens but thought he wasn't fit enough and within 48 hours it was on the back page of the HUN.There's probably just as much they won't say post draft either though, as those kids are now on a list and we're not going to say too much about another club's players.
Well then we need to have Robey come to Punt Road for another interview and make sure Twomey is alerted to thatI think it's fair to say the the trades Twomey is suggesting "could" happen, are actually happening and the only reason he isn't reporting it that way is because of the trade lock out.
All we need to know now is do the bummers know we won't take Robey and XT and that's why they staged that photo op.
Hes already been. You just couldn't see him as he toured the hole in the ground.Well then we need to have Robey come to Punt Road for another interview and make sure Twomey is alerted to that
Richmond closing in on Robey
Pic's or didnt happenHes already been. You just couldn't see him as he toured the hole in the ground.
Except mine was based on actual contracts we've signed. Yours was based on pretending they don't exist.See I can make crap up too![]()
Yeah he's why I'm not too concerned about finishing our midfield mix this draft, there will be guys emerging once they get more midtimeSkills & composure , Noah looks verys good. Tanner Armstrong also 7 clearances & didn't attend a centre bounce in the first half. I think he finished in the best players list as well.
Butler has a bit of the Butters about him and everybody loves some Archie Van DykeNah I think taking sharp and Cumming or Sharp and Robey or Robey and Cumming wouldn’t be what we will do.
I think we replace with XT we lost two defenders this year? Broad leaves soon.
There is also next year for a mid which one happens to be NGA.
Arki Butler or Archie Van Dyke would be pretty high on Richmond’s list knowing they can’t get Cody or Dougie.
