43 and 54 help dons land one or both academy players and 21, 27 and 30 gives us for points with Dean plus Ison..

My mistake thought you said 11 which is being turned into a F2 and points this year. 9 is being turned into more points. It was always about Dean/Ison - this gets us more points for them. 9 from the Swans was always getting absorbed.

Really not seeing how we are wasting picks when we are turning them into more points (i.e., what we need in this draft) + a good pick for next year.

All i know is we've given up 4 first round draft picks in the past 2 years for Dean and Smith. Along with a trio of top quality players. Add Walker to the list next year and it could be 6 first rounders for 3 players. Is that responsible list management? Time will tell.

We have traded 4 first round picks and three top quality players for just Smith/Dean? This just is isn't true man.

That would be decent, although often early on, all parts of the trade dont get reported.

You do not get held to ransom. I take the Richmond talk as bluster as well, because we might actually be in a position to trade with them, so they can turn around and say to their members that they engineered a trade on the back of a bluff.

Your deals are excluding the possibility of Patterson being bid on before Dean, which is a wild take from Richmond's recruitment team.

Who said were getting Dean or Ison for nothing? I'm saying if Dean is bid on early it might be best to not match any bids that cost us 2 top 11 first round picks.

Only if you’re counting things twice. We got some of those picks for some of those players, so it’s one or the other. And we also got assets into the next two years for some of those players, and we could end up using them on more than Dean, so it’s not as bad as you’re making it sound. We will be able to judge the value of it all a bit better after the draft, but really we won’t be able to judge it until all the picks are spent and we see how the players shape the team in a few years time.

Not all good news. Its also sounds really likely WC bids on Dean at 3 .

That would explain us giving up on an F1 or a pick slide. Just need points now. If we get an F2 on top its a bonus.

You're assuming our 2 picks alone cover Walker .

We cant in the case of the Essendon deal. They would deal with GC if not us and GC picks get wiped when Uwland gets bid on. So would need to trade before then.

At the end of the day is Dean worth pick 9 and 11 in isolation. First draftee to cost two first rounders.
