Who does North want at pick 11 here?

My gut tells me they see Schubert sliding and they are certain he is around at 11 myself. Id think this comes out somewhere down the line. It MUST be to target 1 man

Schubert is not a slider. Melbourne would have been the only team to consider him the top 10 but they are after midfielders anyway.
He is a 12 to 20 range player for me and even that depends on team needs.
So if North want Schubert, pick 11 is pretty close to the mark.

We travelled to WA a few days before the draft to see Bo Allan, then overlooked him at 7, 12 and 14.

I wasnt referring just to pick points values.

If WC can guarantee Dean gets to 5 (bid on both GC boys) thats worth 600 points vs them bidding at 2 and 400 points vs them bidding at 3, so that 200 gap between the offers gets wiped pretty quick (its almost certain we give you a late pick back).

That's assuming Richmond bid at 5. If Dean drops further the points keep adding up.

Dean would have to be a very good player for the Blues to pay what they are looking like paying. They have a nice draft hand which is going to be wiped out.

As ridiculous as it sounds, the AFL has hinted at changing the matching process for next year.
But that aside, carrying a deficit could make it hard for us to match for Cody.

I think this makes sense.

CDT is just not the profile I think the Eagles should be looking for in a very high draft pick

I dont think there would be any issue matching a bid TBH
I dont think that Carlton will make finals next year and will finish about the same level and GC maybe be 1-2 positions higher. But even if Carlton are short on points they could go into deficit for 2027 in the compromised draft

Pretty sure he was all but going to your mob before Robey's rise, it wouldn't be gobsmacking if your list management team still preferred him. I woudn't be surprised if it's Cummings and Taylor/Sharp/Robey for you guys.

Lucky enough he is. I think he'll have the best career of any in this draft.

I wouldn't peg him just as a defender either, moves well and could possibly play higher up the ground. Competitive, footy smarts, takes a great grab, uses the ball well. Carlton are getting a beauty.

Not surprised at all that WC are considering a bid at 3. He would be very high on most draft boards.
