So do I lol

I just feel we will go with the larger body of work.
Just wanted to say thanks Michaels For all the work with the videos and stuff you do. Your love for footy and the Richmond football club is obvious, and putting it all together for supporters to see is a great thing. Don't worry about the dribble from small minded morons!

PS. Still waiting for my prize as quizmaster champion 🤣🤣

Hi Michaels. I'm a bit of a nuffie when it come to things on the internet. Is there a link for me to join?
No stress at all!

I’ll post the YouTube link to the live in here tomorrow when it’s set up 🙂

Make no mistake folks, Robey will be one of our picks. This guy should be the no 1 pick, he’s ours. Our recruiting team are licking their lips that he’s going to slip to one of our picks.
How do you know?

Not Sharp. That's why this unfortunately is a draft that is not loaded with midfielders and therefore is the year you go for other types.
Been the best junior in this class for the last 2 years, yet you don’t rate him? Entitled to your opinion of course but I’d take him. Keeps improving and was dominant in the champs.

A few posters have suggested Robey could be a Bont type. To me he’s more brute, less class. More forward, less inside ability.

But, watching noobermensch’s vids, it only really just stood out to me how Sharp has a fair bit of the Bont’s about him. Lacks Bonts penetrating kicking, but his ability to release the ball to advantage in tight is very, very good. Bont also ran a fairly mid 20m time of 3.2 seconds.

Would not be against a Sharp/Robey combo!
Agreed about releasing the ball to advantage. That's probably Sharp's best playing attribute from what I've seen.

However, I do have a couple of questions about him:

1. Yes he kicked goals in the carnival as a mid, but is that really his strong second position? If not, does he have a second position?
2. How will he play against men at AFL level? His output at SANFL level seems noticeably lower than the U18s carnival, so does he struggle dealing with bigger bodies?

If he struggles with bigger bodies right now, then he may have a relatively rough transition IMO. It'd be easy for bigger mids to expose his lack of pace and render him ineffective during his early years.

Sharp's most attractive asset to me is his potential in onfield leadership. He seems like the type to lift the entire side in big games, and you always need a strong leader in your side if you want a premiership. That alone would make him a worthy selection. That's probably the one thing we lack in our youth (aside from Lalor)
