After scoring 205 goals in two years, Hillside’s Josh Covelli has had his paperwork re-lodged to travel across the Calder Freeway to Tullamarine, after having his first transfer declined. Does anyone know why his transfer request was denied?

Tulla have deep pockets. It will all get solved.
The amount being thrown around for the 2 players crossing from HS to Tulla is ridiculous , surely what I'm hearing can't be right. $60k... Please someone in the know or with some sense of the real figure point us all in the right direction

A lot of $$$ spent to not get promoted and in the event did, neither would play premier division.

What a waste…. At least spend it to go up and stay up.

Covelli on 2 yr deal so if they did go up and he didn’t want to play, a club would have to pony up to get him out of tulla

Could be in his contract to be released if they went to premier. Highly unlikely though they win it as more likely to be relegated than go up. Covelli probably gets them out of relegation zone.

East Keilor double drop all but locked in with their first ‘prized recruits’ being North Brunswick’s 3 best from F Grade Amateur footy.
Just cause Clubs are rolling out their prized recruits in Nov 2025 - doesn't mean they will line up for that club in April 2026 some 5 months away. Feb 2026 Clearances will be when the action starts to get serious - EK will be a lot more competitive this year and may even win 4-5 games which will keep them out of the relegation zone.

Does anyone know of circumstances that a player transfers is approved and changes their mind to go back to the club that cleared them for whatever reason? Is that even a possible scenario?

Yes you can do that, Multiple transfers happen when blokes aren’t happy or don’t want to commit to the clubs.
