We obviously need a player that has been a midfielder when they have played in the elite Junior Competitions. But more importantly we need very very good footballers whatever their preferred position.

5 + 6 for 2 + 13. Bombers have secured 9 from Carlton in this scenario so they are more open to trading us 5 and 6.

1. Duursma (WCE)
2. Uwland (GC bid match)
3. Duff-Tytler (ESS)
4. Dean (CARL match)
4. Annable (BRIS match)
5. Patterson (GC match)
6. Robey (RICH)
7. Cumming (RICH)
8. Sharp (WCE)
9. Farrow (WCE)
10. Taylor (MELB)
11. Grlj (MELB)
13. Dovaston (ESS)

Odd. Its ****ing absurd

I dont even think this dimwit plans what he is having for dinner before 5:30pm at this rate, never mind the draft hand itself

The interview was a absolute train wreck. The guy doesnt know what to do is the summary we got
What would have liked to have been said.

Fun watching the voting needle shift the closer we get to draft day.
It's now almost equal votes for CDT and Sharp, CDT gaining.
Has no influence of course, but shows people are more accepting of a CDT selection?
'The best player available on the day' mantra, but anything could still play out...

Would be a great result, except I'd snap up Grlj ahead of Farrow.

I voted CDT and it's a combination of still believing the club will get it right despite everything, and also if he turns out to be a bust I'll be like "Well I wanted him too"

Hmm not sure I'd do that now, think CDT is going to be a very good to a superstar type player, if Dons want him that badly I also want 9.

All the talk about Cooper Duff-Tytler, anyone got any intel on another ruck prospect called Cooper? Adam Jones the WA talent manager has spoken on separate occasions on Mark Duffield’s show about Cooper Ramsay from WA as an unheralded ruck prospect. Missed the Championships due to to injury but apparently would have been the WA first choice ruck if fit. Possible late/rookie prospect to allow as to take Robey or another mid at pick 2?
very raw, but has some serious upside. athletic , good jump, 202cm , arms are way too long for his body . Probably needs some WAFL time to see how he goes against some good rucks.

This would be good. I'd think Taylor ahead of Cumming for Richmond. In which case would we take Cumming and Sharp?
Duursma, Cumming and Sharp then NGAs.

Trade week: Clarke is too transparent in interviews. You can’t just lay out the player values and publicly state your intentions. Look at the real estate agent Brisbane trot out. Now that’s how you get results.

Draft week: Clarke hasn’t clearly laid out our plans and has even suggested that multiple options are on the table. This bloke doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing.

Love this website so much.

So, not checking BigFooty this morning until now was the correct move?

I'd like to maintain as many of my remaining brain cells as possible so I plan to avoid the last 10 pages or so. Therefore at the risk of sounding lazy can someone please summarise what Clarke said? Or if it's just the same old playing with a straight bat (as he should be doing 2 days before the draft), then that is also an acceptable response.

I’m preparing for a pick 2 trade where we land good players but people will feel we didn’t make the other team (Essendon) pay enough.
A good trade is mutually beneficial

I agree with you, but it is your last point that excites me the most. He has enormous natural talent and when it matters he is clutch. The fact he had one very good performance in the wa game in wa in front of our recruiters would only influence them further.

I do think the more players we have that are clutch the more games we will win in the future, which is why if we can develop him right he will be worth an educated punt.
Him, Tylah Williams and hewett in the forward line could be quite exciting for the fans.
NHH could be a very handy wingman. He's quick, agile and is a one-touch player. I can't imagine Baker will be letting him get away with one-directional running too often. Hopefully Harley starts to step up in this area as well.

Basically we have a lock for pick 1, we would need a very good offer for 2, and 13 is open for trading up or down.

Clark want's to swap pick to for Caleb Daniel and a future second round pick.

Jfc the last 6 pages have been a tough tough read this morning

Majority has been SGIO's really bad takes and suggestions and redthumb260's faux melting. Rather pointless all round.
