Absolutely, I'm tipping your old fella hasn't made the jump in physical development Powell has since he arrived at the club. If it has however, you could be sitting on a goldmine
Theres been no jump in Powells physical development from that photo.. but I do sell pictures of my feet, you interested in a set of busted up feet? I’ll zoom in on the callouses for ya.. you can monitor their progress

Joking not joking - any reason Larkey never visibly alters in condition year to year?

Never bulks up, never leans out. A bit more size would've seemed helpful for his one on one game.
Played like Wayne Carey in the first against the doggies. Got the injury that ultimately ended his season after that.
He's built perfect for the modern game as we saw in that game when we started like a good side.

I still dont understand how anyone can develop an understanding of how fit someone is by a photo or how much size they have put on
Size is hard to tell, and a lot of people confuse being leaner for being bigger because the muscle shape shows more.

But there are a few clues to good condition or not, in terms of body fat:

• vascularity through arms and shoulders
• striations through the shoulders
• visible separation between delts, biceps and triceps
• the little dinosaur claw thing on the triceps
• separation between the bigger and smaller quad muscles

If someone has most or all of the above then they're probably 12% body fat or under. If they don't have that, then they're carrying unnecessary fat for an athlete.

Indicative of most North players isn’t it? I think this 6 year shit show is simply because of fundamental professionalism in strength & conditioning and skills.

Hopefully the new breed changes this, including Whitlock.

If this doesn’t make sense to anyone just look up the Darcy Wilson photo.

I’ll keep saying this to no end. He has had one of the best 1st years that has gone unnoticed.
He reliably has beaten his direct opponent, rarely turns it over and his football intelligence around position doesn’t show up on stat sheets.
He could be a Luke Hodge and play his career off half back and pinch in the middle.
Agree 100pct,,,,hits targets, never panics, never get caught holding the ball despite taking on the would be tackler, always composed, I was thinking Pendlebury comparison.

Yes but people look different under strain, load, high heart rates, lighting. Its too difficult to tell from a couple of pre season photos

Don’t mind it.
Kicking these around barefoot might do them some good.

That's true, things will show up earlier under different lighting and strain, that's why spotting all or most of them is important.

E.g. you're carrying too much body fat you could stack the overhead bodybuilding show lighting, Mads photo, worked up a pump after a carb load combo together and you still won't see shoulder striations.
