cal also says crows likely only use two picks. So I’m still confused

Schoenberg going to West Coast in the PSD as a rookie listing according to Twomey

We're making big moves
Draft picks: 1, 2, 13, 34, 41 (likely to use four selections)wouldn't they need to do that in the rookie draft?
Grjl and Dovaston still on the board at carltons pick 9, that's gotta be mighty tempting. In Hamish and co we trust.Cal has us taking Marsh

Cal Twomey's 2025 Phantom Draft: Top 30, late picks, whispers
Who will your club take in this year's Telstra AFL Draft? Our expert makes the callwww.afl.com.au
That will certainly make it harder. We’re trading 48
Not happening given the club has made it clear our 2026 1st is out of bounds according to Twomey and I can't see any way our 2026 2nd gets us up that far.Grjl and Dovaston still on the board at carltons pick 9, that's gotta be mighty tempting. In Hamish and co we trust.
Perhaps one answer to that is why not? We've spent several years loading up on young talent, which because we're so young we have trouble getting games in to, so why not take fewer picks for the moment, easing the get games into them issue and push later picks forward a few drafts, ideally picking up some value along the way for say 5 years time when we need to start our next build. Why?
Next yrs crop of South Australians sounds good (like real goodNot happening given the club has made it clear our 2026 1st is out of bounds according to Twomey and I can't see any way our 2026 2nd gets us up that far.
) and still before Tas comes in so that helpsPretty much this.Perhaps one answer to that is why not? Such an intriguing decision. We obviously rate next year very highly as 48 might be 36 by the time all is done and dusted with the bidding. If GC are top 4 next year we're trading for a pick around 50 in 2026. It wouldn't make sense to trade 48 before the draft begins and then trade back in with our F1 or F2 so maybe we have our eye on someone they don't expect to go in the top 50 picks?Yep, says it in our later picks section. GC for a F3

Not sure what to think if we pick up Marsh. Hard player to read, very inconsistent.
Phillipou not in the first 30!? Think he'll be a good player but also be a knob to go with it. Don't want.
Schubert to Fremantle. Good. Keeps him away from Port.
Is that Ethan Herbert a relation to Lucas who we had on our list for a while?
Hawks two pick ups according to Cals phantom are sickeningly good
North gonna shaft themselves getting Pickett I reckon.
10 restricted players in the first 30. Disgusting

The club is obviously very happy with ROB.
The plan seems to be to stick with him until he's 35+.
I'm more worried about Edwards and Ryan delisting themselves ie not re-signing with us and signing with someone else.Pretty much this.
We've got the 25 man squad we want, which is basically this year's team plus Ah Chee.
We'd rather continuity than bringing in unknown players, noting we also traded out of last year's much stronger draft.
Which is why Edwards and Ryan may well get delisted without playing a game in 12 months time.
I'm the oppositeWhat’s the point of having a draft? I’m fine with the father sons, but what I’m not fine with is the high end players getting taken by the academy which is diluting the overall draft pool where clubs like Suns or Swans have to pay nothing.
This is the Pickett I'd want.....in 2026
Wes Walley can’t be a real nameDraft picks: 1, 2, 13, 34, 41 (likely to use four selections)
Most of the Eagles' work will be done early, with three selections held inside the first 13 picks. That will largely determine their draft haul. There has been talks about the possibility of trading into pick No.9 from 13, but there hasn't been much progress on that. The Eagles have some different considerations thereafter, with Tylah Williams the most likely to get a bid, potentially late inside the top-30 or in the back half of the draft. Koby Evans and Wes Walley might get through later on as rookie options, while father-son prospect Charlie Banfield has been nominated but without any guarantees on selection. The Eagles have done some work on ruckman Marcus Krasnadamskis recently but it's hard to see them grabbing two rucks, while they have also had VFL prospect Tom Blamires on the radar. The Eagles will sign former Lion Deven Robertson, ex-Magpie Fin Macrae and delisted Crow Harry Schoenberg as pre-season supplemental period rookie selections once that window opens on November 24 after the trio skipped nominating for the draft.
That is saying he will get picked up during the SSP, not the PSD. Last part of the sentence says he skipped nominating for the draftDraft picks: 1, 2, 13, 34, 41 (likely to use four selections)

I'm the opposite
The Qld and NSW academies are bringing in kids who would be playing league if not for the academies. And they lose a lot of the non-locals they draft to Vic (and a little bit us).
The father-sons on the other hand are largely a Vic club hand out, and they already have enough of a leg up!
