Twomey is usually spot on.

Suns getting Uwland, Patterson, Murray and likely Coulson too (late pick) seems more than enough to me.

I do hope Eagles or any other team draft Addinsall and develop him. Good for his career. There would very limited opportunities for him in the middle with Suns in the next 3 years. He does have a strong home factor. If he makes it I bet Suns will be knocking on the door in 3 years.

Gee I hope he got this wrong. We have too many small forwards as it is.

After Curtis who? Clubs (at least successful ones) run with 2-3 of them on the field at the same time. How many do Bris/Hawks have?

The suns didnt just inform the eagles they informed the entire football community they will match any bid on both players
Patterson and Uwland and have more than the required capital to do this with their picks.
Carlton hold 2 very nice picks in 9 & 11 so effectively giving up 2 x top picks for dean which is not the same as GC
We aren't giving up two picks for Dean. If Cal's Phantom draft is close to accurate and Dean gets bid on at 3 and Ison ~22 we would end up using 9 and 11 for Dean, Ison and a F2 from North. This is also assuming the reported deals with North (11 for 25 + F2, and Ess 9 + 43 for 21, 27 and 30) are close to accurate.

Would be very happy if it goes like that considering teams have decided this is the year to bid early on father/sons apparently.

Interesting that Cal has included the rumoured Carlton/Essendon/North trade in his phantom. Has he ever done this?

If you didnt match Dean then you could take players at #9 + #11 and with the remaing picks you have that look like coming in around 10 spots you would just about have the points for Ison which is what i was getting at

underwhelming for the dees. Flight risk Farrow and Cam 'reach' Nairn. Could be even worse if the bombers don't take Sharp and we end up with 2 reaching picks like Pickett and Nairn.

Harvey, Hanson Jr, Konstanty, Branch & Curtis.
Geez, outside of Curtis, that’s a miserable bunch. How on earth is Hanson Jr still on an AFL list??

Certainly nothing in there that would prevent you from picking a decent small forward.

For someone who is so over finding every loophole, how did you decide this?

Suns have 3773 points.. Bids at 1 & 2 required runs to have 5000 pts.. Even with all the pick trades they will be severely in deficit. Even with bids at 2 & 5, they should be in deficit which means they can't match 1st round bid for Jai Murray.

Can you still match a bid if you are already in deficit?

Suns have only their F1 and that should disappear, as will Dees F2
Well if you read back in the full conversation it was about bidding on a player you really want to get which doesnt appear to be the case when bidding but if they did bid 1 & 2 then GC could still get both players and go into deficit
they wont let Uwland and Patterson go.

I'm somewhat hoping we get one or the other of those two if Grlj is already gone.

Cal's phantom is a bit underwealming for us I feel. I'd be a little cranky if we took a project forward when Greeves and Hibbens-Hargreaves are still available.
