I don’t see a huge difference between Addinsall and Jagga.

On paper, Addinsall does sound a lot like a Jagga Smith, Ryley Sanders, Lachie Neale, Caleb Serong type.

Small accumulator who knows how to move around stoppages to find the ball and generate clearances without being a big-bodied extractor.

I’m definitely intrigued enough to watch some footage later and then pretend I am an expert.

I don't think we want Sharp, the supporters might want him but I'm not so sure the club is thinking this. I've said it before and feel free to disagree, but I can't see him adding any more value than Dev Robinson will over the next 2 years.

If we do trade down it would be with Sharp in mind.

The point isn’t whether he adds more value in the next 2 years, no matter how much those that don’t want him try to frame that as our primary for wanting him, it’s the value he’ll add over his career, like for any draftee.

Sharp:
Better resting forward
More tenacious
Better defensively

Their clearance work is pretty equal although they go about it in different ways (think Neale vs Green).

Sharp has the best hands and clearance work in the class by far.

as much as I like Sharp, I can't see him adding any more value in the midfield over the next 2 years than Dev Robinson will. I would be more inclined to go Duursma at 1, Robey at 2 and I was on the Dovidson train but I think either Farrow , Marsh , NHH or Shubert at 13, then Onley at 34 ... Then either Banfield or Williams at 41.... but like anyone here I'm looking through my own glasses and the club has a better perspective than a fanboy like me.

Not too sure about the Sharp comment. But as long as we get a ball pig amongst the selections; a decent extractor with some x-factor, a cut above what we have.(potentially)
We're all fanboys really, just not as blindly devoted and lemming-like as FB fanbois.

This club is stuffed for the next five years. I look forward to the acrobatics when we finish bottom 4 for the next FIVE years and potentially Duursma and Harley leaving the club 2027 together to reduce the hate. I haven't included CDT because he's not going to be worth anything come his request for trade


I might tune in until the names get picked to see if they are Hail Mary trades. The last time I felt gloomy was preseason last year and turns out I was right when we won game. Best thing coming out of the trade and draft peroid is DEV.

If this is the reaction to the phantom, I can't wait to see what the reaction to the actual draft will be.

Spare a thought for Fred Rodriguez, very little mention of him by Twomey among the club preferences. Hopefully he doesn’t suffer the same fate as Koen Sanchez, who went undrafted after being highly rated in his under age year and then was considered to be worth a pick in the 20s or 30s in his draft year.

Surely if we are serious about getting him, we bid on Zeke and Patterson with 1&2.
The points difference between bidding on 1&2 compared to 2&4 is over a 1000 pts (=pick 14).
Would make it much more likely we get Addinsall if that's who we are interested in.

You are right... but I kind of like the moral torture of bidding on Murray and Addinsall at the point where they only have the points to match one. Make them pick which child they love more.
