Yeah under the Suns part they have 3 trades ready to go.

The Suns have three trades ready to go for the start of the draft to add more points, with the club set to get pick 35 from the Giants (in exchange for a future second-round pick) and 48 from Adelaide (for a future third-rounder) and 49 from Port Adelaide (also for a future third-rounder). The club also has picks 15 and 18 on the trade table, but at this stage there has been no movement on them

THe maths on that is they can match a bid on Murray but not Addinsall in reality.

As things stand, they barely have enough to match the Uwland/Patterson, and it's reported that they're prioritising Murray over Addinsall. So if Twomey's right and we go the double donk with Pick 13, those points might be for that.

I wonder if we are thinking about drafting someone other than CDT at 2 or are wanting to trade 2?

Or we see CDT as a backup ruck who plays a variety of roles like Luke Jackson, and want a real ruckman to play as the main guy?

I am very happy with the notion we will take Duursma, CDT and Addinsall.
Basically drafting Bont, Jackson and Neale!

Addinsall covers that midfield extractor we want, hes not an inside bull, hes a bit more balanced than that which I like. Hes the type of guy you plonk into the middle, let him do 80% CBAs every week and he wont let you down. Good balance for Harley and Hewett.
Assuming Duursma does go into the middle in a couple years time, along with Harley and Hewett we would pretty much have our midfield completed assuming players develop like we expect.

Duursma, Addinsall, Harley, Hewett plus a defensive mid role player from somewhere(Ginbey?), then throw in some rotations from whoever McCarthy/Evans/Williams/Brockman/etc

This club is stuffed for the next five years. I look forward to the acrobatics when we finish bottom 4 for the next FIVE years and potentially Duursma and Harley leaving the club 2027 together to reduce the hate. I haven't included CDT because he's not going to be worth anything come his request for trade


I might tune in until the names get picked to see if they are Hail Mary trades. The last time I felt gloomy was preseason last year and turns out I was right when we won game. Best thing coming out of the trade and draft peroid is DEV.

He’s a borderline top 10 pick in a weak draft.

If we stay at 13, I’m very happy with Addinsall and many in here should be too.

Is that ball pig accumulator that a lot in here want.

Addinsall couldn't get the pill in the champs.

I refuse to take seriously the idea that this guy is a step above guys who are going to get picked 30 to 55 range. Id trade the pick into next year.

Depends. Gold Coast aren't prioritising him because he's got zero hurt vector to his game. He's another Dev.

I want them to pay for Patterson. Hes my favorite in the draft and would be my pick 1 or def pick 2. Would be amazing if we somehow got him but almost zero chance of that sadly.

Metres gained per disposal is his biggest weakness. Aka the modern game.
