We'll never know with Nathan as all he gave Geelong was 32 games. I was at the MCG in R3 2007 for the Cats v Melbourne game when Nathan pulled out of the selected team. No injury, just overwhelmed. At least it gave Tom Hawkins a chance to come in and impress

Happy for Murphy to be downgraded, he frustrated the hell out of me as a Carlton fan.. but Goddard was just a better than average half back flanker, i reckon most fans would hope for more out of a #1 pick.

Nah happy with David Swallow as a fail, was a very underwhelming footballer.. Can hang his hat on being a good leader but IMO that doesn't cut it when we are talking #1 picks.. I would think multiple All Australians would be a minimum requirement.

You could make a case De Goey and Stringer are the best two pure footballers at their clubs too. Just didn't have the run with injury and/or dedication to fitness required.

i dont see how you can rate murphy as a tick and swallow as a fail.

their output over their careers really isnt all that different.

Murphy 1, and said he can be downgraded... Weitering has 1, should have had 3 and will finish his career with more than 1.
