West Coast might well have established a genuine dynasty with Smith in the team rather than seriously injured. They could certainly have averted the brief but very sharp decline they suffered between 2007 and 2010.

Geelong might have found much more trouble winning in 2007, or dominating most of the 2008 season as they did.
2007 yes but not 2008. West Coast were shit. 2007 injuries to Judd and Cousins cost the eagkes. They were 4 goals up in Adelaide week 1 of the finals but Cousins did his hami and Judd was on one leg. Cousins cost the team with his drug addiction. If he plays a full season West Coast win against Brisbane, Essendon and St.Kilda easily sewing up top 2. A full functioning West Coast could have challenged Geelong for the flag. Especially if Smith was there. We beat West Coast who were missing several stars and we almost beat Geelong in the prelim.

What if Geelong beat Melbourne in the last home and away game of 2021? Gawn goal after the siren meant they finished 1st instead of 3rd where Geelong went. Roles would have been reversed and cats would got home final vs Brisbane and dees on the road vs port.
Often wondered that actually, but I think we would have beaten Port. Very likely got Geelong in the GF.

What if Ben Cousins joined St Kilda instead of Richmond for the 2009 season? Cousins always stood up in the heat of finals footy, would have provided some much needed x factor for St Kilda and Cousins helping St Kilda win their second flag would have been an amazing story.

What if clarkson didnt play favorites in 2012 and selected Murphy instead of an injury prone Xavier Ellis?

I asked him this earlier in the year at his lil function. He said he didn't know but he said he was at the grand finals with Molly Meldrum. I told him I thought he'd definitely had been the difference. I didn't tell him i definitely thought he was on the toot at the GF's with Molly Meldrum though lol!

What if Kouta had not done his knee in 2000?

He'd finally been given a full-time midfield role and went berserk for a few months, avg 30d, 2.5 goals, 8 clearances, over 3 contested marks a game.

He played plenty of good footy after 2000, but was never quite the same.

Might have been an all-time great instead of an all-time very very good.

Kouta did his knee in that infamous semi final vs Richmond in 2001 didn't he?

I still believe he would of won a Brownlow medal in 2002 or 2003 if he does not do his knee

In the home and away game vs essendon he was missing wasn't he? Who else? It was a tight game but you guys were missing players.

In R20, he went to jump for the ball but I think Mark Johnson collected his knee.

Correction: Jason Johnson.
