A lot can change between now and then. A year of turmoil could not only mean we miss out on landing a big fish, but it might produce a massive shake up that sends us backwards.Same source as my Mark Keane link not long ago. Directly from the Butters family. He will be a bulldog.
He wants it, it’s done.
Go to bed tonight comfortable that this will get done end of next year.

I'll believe it if it happens.
???We’ve already removed the centre of any potential turmoil mate![]()
What does this garbage even mean? Is old mate trying to say he’s coming to Geelong or the Dogs?
He was told no, under any circumstances. You seen what Merrett got put through going about it publicly.Butters must really value contractual agreements (which is rare these days).
If he is that keen to play for us, most would’ve requested a trade & not waited for his contract to end.
That makes sense why he didn’t bother pushing it.He was told no, under any circumstances. You seen what Merrett got put through going about it publicly.
Shows the type of bloke he is though. I respect itButters must really value contractual agreements (which is rare these days).

Exactly. Not doubting the mail here but if we have another poor year and look like we're going backwards can see his mind being changedA lot can change between now and then. Fixed. I don't want to be the cause of unwanted distractions. Before this gets out of hand....

Bookmark this one. It’s as confident as I’ll ever be with any mail.
Anyone heard anything about why Spangher left, and whether there is anyone scoped to replace him? The way some of these coaches have left the club in recent times leaves a lot to be desired. I don't care that they leave, but fk me, to continually do so just before preseason is absolutely poor form. Also, is Mitchell becoming the biggest flog of a coach in record time? Hardwick had the mantle, along with Lyon, but Mitchell is a deadset flog.
Surely we don't take a third pick (passing on Darcy). At least two of our picks are live tonight. Then tomorrow is just waiting for either a Darcy bid or the pick that nobody saw coming.

We do have a rookie spot available. If it comes down to saving it for the MSD vs taking Darcy then I'd use it on Darcy.
