Played fullback at U16 level and was named as the AA fullback in U16 national championships.

He might prefer to play forward, but he’s actually played more in defence in games that count to this point.

He was playing mid in the first part of the season and had a game where he went 36 & 2 or something.

Was moved around after that as clubs wanted to see his versatility in other positions, the main one being West Coast, according to someone who attended games on here.

Even your Duursma argument is illogical “Duursma is a HBF as he was at the champs despite playing midfield elsewhere”. “Allan is a HBF as he played it elsewhere, despite being named AA midfield at the champs”.
