Just on the height discussion - Schubert was interviewed on 5AA and talk about his height and who measures what came up

According to Rowey the Combine had him at 193 and Schubert - the person who would know better - said he is 198 even though the listing says 193

I reckon Dovaston would be a nice addition to our forwardline. I reckon Bombers or North will get him unfortunately.

I like the talk on Marsh i heard last night. A forward/Player we probably need. last week i was against it cos my heart is set on a midfielder with pick 16. "Plays the Tom Lynch role that the crows had a few years back and plays a bit like Jack Gunston

But no Phillipou isnt as high on list from my understanding

Dovaston > Marsh> Barker > Schubert/Phillipou

Cal Twomey is pretty much on the money most of the time so I think Marsh will be the guy...

Poor runner when you really drill down into his games seems to be it I guess there are doubts about how he handles the speed of today's AFL.

He'll still get drafted just not as high as it was earlier thought, I think the Hawks is probably where he lands given they went so hard to get him as an NGA.

was a dumb joke sorry - there was some debate on this forum a year or two ago about the fact that a player could be short with higher shoulders or tall with a long neck. it has stayed with me as i found it exceptionally amusing.

Interesting that Cal said this has been the hardest draft for him to pick. Which means other media outlets probably just copied him. Could be a few surprises tonight? I’m all for it. Dovaston sliding to us would be the dream (for me anyway).

Certainly a bit of Gunston about him in the way he plays from that clip

Marsh listed at 190cm. Slightly awkward height considering he’s shorter than our Tom Lynch yet plays like a marking forward at times at junior level. 7cm shorter than J Cameron and Dan Curtin. Can get away with clunking them at junior level, but his height makes him a lead up forward, link man at HF or winger. Does that sound about right to you Mutineer ?


Other players listed at 190cm: Holmes, Lapinski, Banfield. Don’t exactly strike as overly tall players. Where as Marsh looks tall.

Looks to be still growing , prob ends up 192cm about fog or tex height give or take

Logan Morris is only 190cm and is a premiership teams best key forward

Height is overrated sometimes

According to Cal's latest mail - looks like it's down to 3 for us

We seem to love Dovaston, but unlikely he will slide

At our pick, Cal seems to think it's between Marsh and Ludowyke, with us leaning towards Marsh for the SA/home factor

RE Ludowyke - interesting that his junior coaches think he has the ability to be a swingman and play KPD as well as forward

For some reason when I think of 'no neck', I always think of Phil Waugh.

It'd be a challenge to get this guy around the neck
