No shit there won't be more than 74 picked. But once the draft starts extra picks can be created via future trading into this year.No, it doesn’t.
You can’t draft in more players than you have.
If you trade a future pick in for a current one, somebody has to already have that pick to trade to you. It isn’t created out of thin air.
There are 74 picks in the draft tonight. 54 have points attached (which does replenish slightly). There won’t be 75 players picked over the next 2 nights.
Those aren't extra picks though. The 2025 picks would just be changing hands between clubs.No shit there won't be more than 74 picked. But once the draft starts extra picks can be created via future trading into this year.
Where the pre draft starting rule of needing list spots no longer is required.

This is half-correct: if a club has less picks than open list spots after a trade, a new pick does become available to them, but I assume this occurs at the back of the order, rather than from an unused round.No shit there won't be more than 74 picked. But once the draft starts extra picks can be created via future trading into this year.

This is a bit of a fallacy.
Clubs/AFL don’t update stats religiously. Harry McKay is our tallest player at 204cm, but site says 200cm. Reported often that Weitering is now 197/198cm. Many of the players on your list, particularly current ones are taller than reported. It is painful and non professional. There was an interview where Kemp confirmed 195cm after growth, but still reported shorter/draft height.
FWIW draft combine had Dean at 194cm and he is one of the youngest in the draft. Definitely more likely to finish 196cm than not.
This, and then factoring in how a given player's own torso/upper body, and effective stature factor in when and how they typically spoil, as well as their ability to consistently get into those contests.And as always we focus on height alone.
Standing reach is a much more relevant measure.
its all part of the game - thats why I would dean after the GC and Bne bids even if our mooted trades are done. Means those picks also come inExcuse Tigers supporter
I understand Carlton’s angst with giving up your draft picks, However, it does help WC and the tigers if your picks are chewed up by our early bids. It is no more than you’d want your recruiting team to do if our positions were reversed.
'Twas the night before Draftmas, when all through the land,
Not a poster was ranting (lest they be banned!);
The phantoms were posted, each pick with great care,
In hopes to predict which one will go where;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds;
While visions of Juddy danced in their heads;
And Ma in her Onesie, and I in me cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long evenin' nap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon through the clouds bore a silvery glow,
Gave a lustre of midday to objects below,
When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
But the bluebagger hovercraft - Micky Voss in the rear,
With a little man driving so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment he must be St. Nick.
He rapidly flipped through the stats and each game,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
"Now, FOS! or Draper! Is it Lalor or Jagga!
Or Smillie! or Harvey! Which one for a 'Bagger?
Then on to the next pick, let's find a great tall!
Then the twin Campos, and that will be all!"
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the rankings; then turned with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, from the spreadsheet he rose;
He sprang to his seat, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight—
“Happy Draftmas to all, and to all a good night!”
I thought I was washing your hair?Sorry, washing my hair

While I disagree with the overall assessment, I do like the sound of Weiterbot and PeterboyWeitering is gonna love playing with Dean. They are one in the same, quiet, get shit done, hate losing
