I'd add Sharp to those 3. All depends if the club reckons Cumming has more upside than Sharp on who I'd take first. on performance Sharp, but Cumming was interrupted this year.

Yeah because he played 3 blinders in the early part of his top age year.

That’s effectively what Robey did too, except in finals games, and is touted as a top 4-5 open pool prospect?

Also don’t forget they hype around Robey after the 40 and 3 game. To come out and follow it up over the next 3 games and show it was no fluke is a huge tick to his temperament and performance.

I'm not sure what the contention is here. It was still pre-ACL form, as stated. With enough of a purple patch prior that clubs could see the talent.

Someone made the point that taking Robey on somewhat limited exposed form in his top end year is not unprecedented (Hotton, Holmes). I was just pondering the differences - namely the fact that those two were picked a little later, moreso than comparing the sample size of respective 'purple patches'.

I suspect Bombers would go Robey & Cumming. Which would make us very hesitant.

If, as I suspect, Robey is our #3, I wouldn't be shocked if we would entertain 4 for 5 & sweetener, with the cries of "that's not obscene overs...". But we get our man (well, our two men), Bombers get theirs, and we get a nice (but not ridiculously unrealistic) bonus pick.

I can see that also but would only be for something like an F2

Robey & Cumming is whats in the mock drafts but i think we will end up with Cumming and XT either way and the F2 would be the bonus

country leagues are only getting weaker. If you're an early developer, it's very possible. But I'm more interested in them being ahead of the pack in five years' time rather than being the big fish in a small pond in their teens.
