Every club should get the opportunity to match 1 bid in the first round..that is it (and even then that is generous). Suns will be a lock for a top 4 position for the next 10 years at the current rate..

In this draft? The one that just had a 20 year old go in the top 12 picks and 4 academy picks?

I think it's much safer assumption that there isn't a great midfielder in this draft, then that was the hitting spot for them.

Sharp was projected to be selected with one of Essendon's early picks. Essendon might have done a Melbourne and save ourselves from ourselves given Nicks isn't a premiership coach let alone just a Finals coach. We should have traded for Melbourne's pick though if we really wanted Sharp.
