Suns now with another 4 first round picks this year after finishing high up the ladder.

It really is a bloody joke. But we're the problem getting Dougie Cochrane next year.

And so much for GC developing players for the competition.

We’re told that it’s necessary to grow the game in qld / make qld teams competitive / help qld teams have more locals on their roster

And sure , but if that’s true, and I’ve posed this question to people arguing the above reason and they all to a man ignore it ,

If they are having more success, have around the same amount of talent coming into the league , and the same amount of locals on their list to an Sa club like port.. doesn’t that mean either they need to end or port needs the same leg ups?

It’s the inescapable logical conclusion.

What’s the advantage for us in that move?
If it’s GC third it’s going to be worthless.

GC third next year is gonna be around what the 50 mark?

Will easily be after that going into the draft after compo, and a Cochrane bid is expected (at this stage) to come before a lot of other bid matches being picks back in a bit.

So will have zero point value for marching bids.

Cal Twomey has reported the Crows made THREE offers to Essendon for pick 13 as they looked to draft Dyson Sharp, but the Bombers knocked back all three offers.

Twomey is reporting one offer saw Adelaide put up its first-round pick this year AND next year to Essendon for pick 13, with a bit going back the other way.

But the Bombers were determined to pick up Sharp :D

PICK 21: WESTERN BULLDOGS — LACHLAN CARMICHAEL

Position: Medium Defender
Size: 183cm
Clubs: Sydney Swans Academy/North Shore Bombers
AFL player comparison: Harry Perryman

Bid NOT matched

The Bulldogs get their half-back in Carmichael. Swans opt not to match for their academy prospect,
