That second round pick trade looks atrocious.

They clearly thought gold coast didn't have the numbers to match on Addinsall but someone screwed up the maths. You could see the look on the west coast recruiting staff faces when they matched, they looked shocked and then used the full 5 minutes before adding yet another half back.

Not sure how you head into a draft with three first round picks and exit with zero midfielders but there you have it.

If you want a bit of copium to deal with the lack of inside mids, consider that Lindsay releases Allan to play midfield.

Also consider that Evans is an explosive inside mid who may well have been in consideration around this pick if he wasn’t injured.

Also we need to take into account that perhaps the Bulldogs were trying to get in front of us, so we had to made the trade to get one of the players we wanted.
