We have 2 2026 firsts, 2 2027 firsts and a 2026 2nd tied to Norf. We have pick 1 covered.
Not nessecarily. Depends on the system. We should be ok unless the AFL go the nuclear option. Nuclear is 2 picks to match, no deficit, no discount. That'd make it tough even with our assets. Hopefully it doesnt come to that.

Even in the nuclear scenario we'd be able to navigate it in normal circumstances with our 2027 F1s but they won't be worth much due to Tassie.

Hoping for that best case scenario with a live pick at 28 and use the others to match a bid afterwards. I think Ludo at 28 would fit nicely to give us more stock in the KPF department. Otherwise best available on top of Ison would be fantastic.

With two clubs unable to match bids in the first round, you'd hope the AFL grow a brain and see that any further changes should at least be delayed a few years.

We'd need more than that.

Pick 1 is 3000 points minus 10% is 2700.

Pick 10 is 1276. 11 is 1205. That's 2481.

10 and 8 would get it done. If Swans are top 3, that's 15 and 5. But they will be pushed back through free agency. I think it's probable we have to trade up using other picks.

Shit.. I was reading the 2024 DVI...

It's going to be very difficult, I think people are underestimating how hard it will be if they introduce the bullshit rules that are rumoured...

Seriously though... can't possibly make drastic changes like that after this year's trade period ended... there will be quite a few clubs fighting the 2 picks only rule... us, Port, Ess ...

Probably another reason we pulled the trigger on trading 11 for North's 25 + F2.

Gives us the option of combining F2 with F1(Swans) to move up the 1st round. In a strong draft, there should be takers.

Not going to happen, the raging favourite (I would say unbackable the odds are so low) is no changes at all.

I’d rather a Ludowyke than a Greeves. But what would I know.

I would agree. But what would I know? I just like the idea of having a tall fwd prospect on the list.
Greaves looks like a manchild. Has he got the speed to play AFL? Is he a bit of a similar type to Ison who longer term would be a bigger bodied midfielder?

We've known for at least 2 years now that Cody is an absolute gun. The changes suck but we'd have been planning on banking points no matter what the rules end up being.
Agree, no surprises. Feels like we’ve been talking about how good Cody has played over the last couple years, since U16s.

GW and Austin have done well in planning for SoAW.

Callum Ah Chee still on board ...
