Williams seem like a very GWS type pick. I think its probably in play depending on how the draft plays out. Would be typical of this clubs luck lately.

Don't really see what anyone can pick about Williams that leads them to think he is pick 13 material. Mobility and thats it.

And? Any club that are prioritising ball movement will highly rate Williams. So GWS would make some sense.

If we werent taking a mid at pick 1 already, id agree.

3 mids in the top 10 of a single draft is overkill, its over-correcting.

Still Allan, Hewett, Reid on the list as first round pick mids, adding 3 more that early is way too much. 6 first round mids when we can only really name 5 or so per game, with a couple of guys doing short rotations in there on top

Perhaps I see W.Duursma as more of a B.Goddard-type rather than natural midfielder.

I'm also yet to be convinced that B.Allan is midfield capable.

Elsewhere, only C.Hall, L.Greggo and T.Gross are actual midfielders on the list that are under younger than 25 - maybe J.Hutchinson if you're being very generous.

Granted, D.Robertson, H.Schoenberg and F.Macrae help fill this void in the list, but they were each delisted by top 4 teams for a reason - none of them are ever going to be A graders that fulfil that leading role in a contending team.

To me then, that leaves us with more work to fill out the middle before the Tasmania concessions come in.

Next year's draft is better.

Duff-Tytler’s dad was born in Australia in 1974, just a year after his parents moved from Sri Lanka.

“Had they stayed in Sri Lanka for one more year and had dad over there, then I’d probably be NGA to Essendon,” Duff-Tytler told 7NEWS.com.au.

“My heritage is not something I know a lot about. We haven’t been over there yet, we’re looking at going over there.

“But nan and pa, when we go over to their house, it’s all of our favorite foods, really. Nan cooks up a curry, we love going over there for a bit of curry.”

Duff-Tytler’s dad is the Milkman

You can find players that do more than that while having more than good mobility was my point. What point is a small forward that cant accumulate or hit the scoreboard?

eaglevision they wouldn’t be drafting Lindsay for his defence and scoring is generated from defence as well as attack.

He fits really well into the Mitchell game style imo, definitely a good chance to take him.

Wce17 saints won’t trade a f1 for a f2 outright, I’d trade our F2 and the pick for their f1 though particularly if a Williams bid came before it.

Wonder if they’d go for that.

Mitchell generally and somewhat ironically likes more athletic types, he does value kicking highly.

Nairn and Schubert both have big tanks and are a point of difference for them in attack, which is why in my view they were the intended targets.

A question of commitment and vanity. If we'd bid Uwland/Patterson 1/2 instead of needing to have Duursma pick 1 would we have had Addinsall. It we'd offered F2 + 13 + 34 for 9 plus promise of not bidding at all would that have got us Sharpe?

Seemed half ar5ed... again.

I think they would if they wanted him enough.

North gave up there F1 which ended up being pick 4 for 27 for Whitlock last year which is a good example of that & there's no way Saints F1st would be that low.
