I don't think there's a lot to pick between the remaining draft prospects, so I'd now be happy with as many of our club-tied prospects as we can land, because I think that there's a lot to be said for sentiment and loyalty in a football club. It strengthens our academy if the kids see a pathway. And I would be ropeable if we let Charlie Banfield go, especially since his brother will be here in a year.

I wouldn't have matched Tylah Williams at the picks he was being rumoured to have interest, but I think he'll now be decent value for us even if bid on with the next live pick.

I'm not going to throw a wobbly if I see NHH (inconsistent), Greeves (BODE-adjacent), Swadling (Clay Hall with better hair) or even BOB (silly name) running around in another club's colours next year. But I do still like Fred Rodriguez.

Williams is the only player we have to likely match and most likely at 34 or later.
I would trade the pick 29 into 2026.

That won't go down well with the melters, passing on Pou, Thredgold, NHH, Rodriguez, Ludowyke, etc to instead trade our early round 2 pick for a F3 that will end up in the 50's.

Nah cob, according to Ryan Gosling and a few others, our midfield is sorted already.

We've got TOO many mids if anything.

I would guess that Dev is the only one we expect to get any real game time in the seniors. We desperately need experienced players in the WAFL team, which is why I think we've gone for Macrae and Schoenberg, and they will be decent midfield depth anyway.

Grego is the forgotten guy down back. Is a beautiful kick & seems to always have time. Having Lindsay down back will help him greatly.

If McCarthy plays down back that’s 3 great ball users plus also Maric won’t be taking all the load so will hopefully improve.

Cole will be WAFL bound all year

Both Archer and CDT are quite prospective as to if they can be the no.1 ruck long term.

We had Flynn, Williams, Archer, Livingstone and Barnett on the list this year, so one or both of Flynn/Williams, Archer, CDT and one of van Rooyen/Walsh fits easily.

We wont know for sure for at least a couple more years, but I and most others would put them both in the very likely column.
Tbh we are past the point where we can be sure Archer will be something at AFL level, whether its full time ruck or ruck/fwd.

Not worth using high draft assets for yet another ruckman, when we can only fit 2 in the side.

Remember we still have JWilliams too, we only NEED one of Archer or CDT to be long term rucks for us, the other can fight JWilliams for the ruck/fwd spot worst case.

Dont need BVR or Walsh at this stage, would be a poor use of draft capital

If we lose one of Flynn/BW next year then find a state league ruck, find a cheapie in the yearly ruck roulette or draft one with a late/rookie pick.
