Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
I really like Byrne as a player but it would surprise me with our list composition if we went for a small forward.Taylor Byrne now? Are we desperate for a 174cm small forward are we.? All out links have been to players of that ilk.
That pick will be speculative anyway, so take a risk Carlton. Dont go for the very very small speculative forward.
This is what I like about Greeves. He's got great hands, great decision maker in traffic.Good mark, clean hands, no fumbling
All incredibly important traits that the good/great players all have…
I'm coming around to this as well. Dogs may go for Emmett as a future defensive option.
I think the Eagles will nab Greeves if we don't. Plenty of good speculative smalls and talls to take after Ison bid is done.

Good player, has some great qualities within his game, as you’ve pointed out not the type we need atm…This is what I like about Greeves. He's got great hands, great decision maker in traffic.
I do understand the concerns about pace and obviously an inside mid is not exactly something we're screaming out for but he's a very accomplised player.
Off topic. Why does Richmonds Sam Cumming look like he is crying in every photo?
I prefer Emmett & Hetherton over Ludowyke. Lemmy was projected as a top 10 prospect in his junior year so I'm more concerned that whoever we choose has competitiveness and another string to their bow. At least Emmett is more than capable in the ruck which provides options of being able to get him into the game if he's getting beaten up forward. The thing is, there's another 2 players with exactly that descriptor still in the mix as well: Emmett and Hetherton. They all failed to make the climb, like Lemmey.
I don't have a problem with Greeves, but we have enough one-paced inside mids. If we're going down this path then I'd rather take the punt on Onley who has some genuine points of difference. No interest in Greeves, Hibbens-Hargreaves or Ludowyke?
Incompetence of the highest order. When are they going to announce these changes? The day before the 26' draft?

They certainly do rate themselves as an organisation.Convenient this drops just after Gerard’s rant today about the draft![]()

Typical media driven AFLConvenient this drops just after Gerard’s rant today about the draft![]()
I’d prefer to boost next year’s draft haul if we can and just match the bid on Ison.So do we think that we will draft another player at 28 and then match a bid on Ison with 38 & 44 or use 28 trade to trade out of this years draft and get another pick in next year's draft?
Think im leaning this way tooI’d prefer to boost next year’s draft haul if we can and just match the bid on Ison.
I’m not sure there are players I’d like to give a two year contract to at this stage. Would rather take a more mature option on a one year deal in the preseason. There’s a lot we’ll learn about our list over the next 12 months and it would be good to have more flexibility with contracts and more draft capital to work with at that point IMO.
Remember just a couple of weeks ago everyone was trying to trade out of this draft as it was no good. If we can get a F2 that is very good business.Think im leaning this way too

The more I've thought about it the more I like Matt LeRay, followed by Emmett, Onley, then Phillipou.

Hibbens-Hargreaves??? Would rather Phillipou who would be more capable of playing genuine midfield minutes once developed. Phillipou doesn't have a defensive side to his game though, which he'd have to develop.

Two things can be true at the same timeBraces mate; some kids don't want to show their teeth so do this kind of sad smile, as funny as it looks like he didn't want to get picked by us lol
I’d be happy with that and have 2 spots over pre season for SSPs
