Why does this old bloke talk up every single player like a superstar every year?

Because it’s the greatest moment in these players lives. He’s not going to shit on them.

It's also that realistically most draft watchers beyond the absolute nuffies aren't going to know players outside their own team who aren't good enough to have recognisable playstyles.

Like if he said someone played like Ryan Angwin, Jimmy Webster or Cooper Lord it might be fair in this draft range (these are alright players who are probably a realistic outcome in this spot in the draft) but like you're not going to hear one of those names and go "ah I know what this prospect's strengths are".

Disagree. Never seen a player who can rack them up and do so little with it. No loss imo whatsoever
