That's what people that know how good these 2 can be would clearly have done.
Williams averages less than a goal a game. Which is slightly worse than Walley. Allen is coming off an ACL and only averaged 11 touches as a midfielder in 2024.
All we needed was to delist 2 more players and/or commit to re-rookieing them.
Surprised there are so many Clarke/Massey/Toddy co defenders completely disregarding this fact.

It’s been explained to you a few times but i’ll go again.

Massey is responsible for the draft yes but our issue is not having enough list spots which is in list management which is Clarke’s domain.

And as I've explained before, he doesn't make that decision in a vacuum: I.E. he doesn't sit there in a darkened room and make that decision without consulting the rest of the football department.

Hard not to be annoyed at evans and banfield walking out the door. They were free swings really, could have been matched with any old pick provided we created the room, which wasn't hard. After banfields grand final I was keen. Will be embarrassing if they turn out to be players, particularly banfield given the emotional connection.

Seems yet another miscalculation that they didnt think they would attract bids, added to yesterday's little trade which also felt like it very much didnt go to plan.

I would prefer banfield and evans over multiple players on our list and would definitely prefer them over all these fringe guys were adding to our rookie list.

Not what we needed after last year. In isolation none of whats happened during trade/draft of the last 2 years is a disaster. It just a series of little crosses for the list management/recruitment team that keep adding up that aren't giving us alot of confidence that they are competent.

do not agree on your view of Cripps. Cripps will be fine and who will teach Williams and Wes where to run? brockman? lol.

Many clubs employ a forwards coach for just this emergency scenario.

The fact is that we should have delisted a few more players. A shit tonne of other teams did it, even senior players.
