Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
One of the rare occasions where we were ahead of the curve imo. Ratten's list build would have dominated in todays game with a bit more refining. No arguments re Eddie. #1 in the fan club.
All three in the same team failed far more than it fired.
Never played in a losing game for us did Rhys. One game, one win at a time when wins were at a premium for us - blackout jumper game in the wet versus * from memory.Trying to remember the last in the bucket pick over the years.
Didnt we swoop in on Rhys Palmer at like #110???

Let’s hope he is a Carlton Premiership footballerJust quietly Jack Ison looks as though he could be anything. Just anything.
We certainly have addressed run and ball use over trade/draft period. Good

Yeah so there's a huge concern about how he thinks/behaves. It can't be about speed and endurance, because his footage shows enough of it across games.Jimmae, no one has taken him. Not just us. No one.
We did, but when we put him near a stoppage at either level, he wound up with an injury. We didn’t exactly run Durdin through the midfield to find out if he could amass possessions- unless you’re suggesting he averaged those numbers as a small forward.
Really? The memory of Betts, Yarran and Garlett is better than the reality of Betts, Yarran and Garlett.
Anemoia. Nostalgia for a time you've never known.
Yes I can AFL Tables too. Eddie an ATG and the others had moments.Really?
Garlett kicked around 184 goals in just over 100 games
Betts kicked around 320 goals
Yarra’s is the outlier here, the reality was three really good players

I literally looked for a gif of this scene before posting it. Haha!Reminds me of Moneyball when the manager kept playing Carlos Pena so Beane traded him
Yeah, i agree on NHH. His set shot kicking is sublime and with his size, speed and leap I was really interested in him. But you’re right, the more I watched, his decision making in traffic and his handballing skills just left me with huge question marks on him. You don’t get a lot of time and space in the AFL so you need to think quickly and move fluidly.I have no idea if there any "personality issues" but just looking at pure footballing reasons I'll answer the following questions. Just my opinion.
Why did Greeves go undrafted?
He's slow with poor endurance. Slow off the mark, slow over distance. Go watch a "highlights" package and you'll notice him caught with the ball to a ridiculous degree. Never seen a "top midfield prospect" caught with the ball so much at Talent league level. Its actually crazy.
Why did Hibbins-Hargreaves go undrafted?
He's either extremely arrogant and doesn't listen to his coaches, he's very stupid or he's been failed by his coaches. Or a mixture of the three.
As a forward he's not bad. That should've been his go. As a midfielder he plays like he's still running around in the u10s. Lots of overhead trickshot handballs to nowhere, weird positioning and generally poor disposal. It strange because put him in front of goal and he's a good kick. A lot of this stuff should've been drilled out of him by his Talent league coaches. It doesn't matter if you get 20-30 possessions in the Talent league if your game is completely unsuitable for AFL level.
….& we’re not paying mega bucks to sooks who want Lambo’s & surf beaches.
Guys like like JW, Walsh, H & Crippa are the guys you want.
We’ve spent too long, paying players waaaaaaay too much & then been hung over a barrel.
I hope, for the 743rd time, that we may have paved a way.
Traded in for pick 135 still unclear who won that oneTrying to remember the last in the bucket pick over the years.

Eddie Betts still has more talent in his little toe than our entire small forward line. Don't mind Byrne but we still are a long way from Betts, Garlett, Yarran.
We still have a pick, wouldn't let him slip that far unless he's a genuine risk.
