FOX gave us an A.
Alright can someone open an EH Thread where all the chatter about Will he or won’t he get another gig. I’m not interested. He has had a negative impact on club culture and he’s not on our list currently. If he makes it back well done. But currently let’s chat about our draft.
I don't know mate wouldn't think so, did they upgrade 3 rookies?Second best rating of all the clubs, I believe, behind GC.
Incredibly, Essendon didn't win the draft this year!
Was only half paying attention to other clubs myself...didn't realise that Port didn't select a single player in the draft this year. Has that ever happened before?!

Polarising...but they're both behind Frankie.

People are always seduced by a stylish looking footballer, Troy Menzel anyone? He’s been on our list for two years. In that time he’s been best 22 for one season, and of that one season he was possibly best 10 for a handful of games. In his time at the Gold Coast he was rarely best 10 and on occasion found himself outside of the best 22.
I realise there are reasons behind this situation. But we are now talking about a player over an extended period of time who has rarely hit the top 10 on his club’s list. 17 other clubs had the chance to bite in the trade period and none of them did.
To me, he is more of a mirage than anything at this stage. Right now I would say the shape of the list means we don’t need him and the development of our younger players means we don’t need him either.
As I say, I am happy for him to have a year in the VFL to prove himself.

In 2024 he averaged about 18 touches a game and not a long way short of a goal a game (17 goals in 22 games) as a high half forward. That's a pretty good season for a young player, good enough for him to win our best young player award that year. Agree that this is not the place to discuss but his best makes us a lot better team. He’s been on our list for two years. Love the players we got, but still think we’re very short on talls - we get an injury on a few key talls and I think we’re juicy fruited.
No train on players are KPPs - are we looking at any in the Rookie Draft.![]()

Made my day.

Yeah just saw your press conference![]()
Why is Nick Austin sidelined by the club? It's been Davies and Agresta doing interviews in the last few days.
It’s only been a month but he has been very impressive definitely fits the no bullshit motto Sam Walsh was talking about.I think the club realised that we finally have a competent GM of Football that can actually string two sentences together without any awkward smiling or nervous laughter - so the club is happy to use him in the media to convey our messaging.
