No speculating on alleged 'rumours'

Thanks all!

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

I hope so, is a point of difference.

I’d say he has his chance. It clearly up to him. They have kept a spot open, on talent he will have ever other train on player covered. So frankly if he ends up getting listed then we know he has taken his chance if he doesn’t then it’s probably over for him in the AFL

Putting aside his indiscretions-where would have gone in this years draft. Top 5 ?

If we put aside his age (teams don’t take mature players early), and indiscretions & pretend he is 18 again. Probably top 10

If we pretend he’d had his recent afl form and was in the VFL train on player at best. Probably still riding a bit on that pre draft potential

If C4's hint is correct that he recently failed his skinfold, i'd say he's done.
If the guy knows he's hanging on by a thread and then comes back only a few weeks later in poor condition, he's never going to last the year when he's comfortable and with cash rolling in.
As my youngest would say: "bro's cooked".

I sometimes think what would happen if Elijah played for Geelong or Collingwood. Would they release him or hide his issues and continue to still have him around.
I actually think we already have the answer to that RPCB. He was offered for free to every club in the league and they didn’t take him. Given those two clubs you mention have had other players with such challenges, it suggests to me his football is simply not good enough to overcome the management efforts required to keep him as a contributing member of the team.

Yeah, that is totally true.

I've gone the 'Maybe' option, but think it's very unlikely. Couldn't go a definite 'Yes' or 'No' because club has given him a chance, but other messaging (eg: no takers in trade period) says it's unlikely EH will continue. But it seems he does have advocates within CFC, and he sure is talented. As I've said before, both for EH's and Club's sake, it would be great for EH to continue. However, I trust Club's judgement in this case. And who knows what the future may hold? Maybe a year or two at a lower level (with less scrutiny) may be a better thing. Whatever it may be, wishing EH and all around him (including OH) all the best...

He's going to have to prove himself and do everything right. I get the feeling the club want that but they aren't going to give him a chance if he doesn't tick the boxes.

This is a guy, who if he wants an AFL career, is going to have to be treated harsher than others, survive on short contracts and get used to being under the microscope. Freedom and trust is earned and he's burnt that. It will be a career on probation.

We can see he wants it, how much he wants it is what we will see from here. If he wants it enough he will get it. If not he enters the real world.

I hope he does get it and makes a good career for himself. He can play. We will see.
