Looks like he could be related to Weddle. We can hope!

I thought the numerous one handed gathers also show a fair bit of nonchalance and self confidence…. We will soon see if his output can match his swagger. He certainly does look a little FIGJAM’ish especially with those goal celebrations.

Not true we only applied for Greeves at the start of this season.
Was officially request in February.I swear I read on an article from Twomey that we had been working on it for 12 months. Second article suggests we made a submission some time last year.
"The Hawks have been working with Greeves for more than 12 months and had applied to list him in the NGA under his Indigenous background."

Hawks' bid to add talented midfield prospect to NGA rejected
The AFL has made a call on Hawthorn's attempt to list draft talent Ollie Greeves as an NGA playerwww.afl.com.au
"The AFL has been assessing the Hawks' submission for Greeves, who has an Indigenous background, to be a part of their Academy, which would also give the club access to him at this year's Telstra AFL Draft. The Hawks have been working with Greeves over the past 12 months as part of their submission from last year."

Hawks seek to add talented midfield prospect to NGA
Hawthorn has put in a submission for Ollie Greeves to join the club's Next Generation Academy ahead of this year's draftwww.afl.com.au
I am not sure whether I got to post that I thought we would pick up greeves in rookie draft, got that right and I got in early to make the call for Shuey. I think in all honesty most expected us to pick up greeves, it was just whether our first pick, but few suspected in rookie draft.Never in doubt. Can't believe he was still available.
Welcome son

This drafting series has been a comedy in many ways, first the numerous selections from central and now with waiting till rookie draft to select greeves and everyone acknowledging he is ours. Was this selection purely to silence people on Bigfooty?![]()
I was saying the same thing, the video do little justice to his true character.Who puts these highlight reels together?
The first half is full of him getting caught HTB, turning it over, turning into traffic and getting tackled etc.
I would not want my full assessment of the guy to be based on that video!
However, I will declare that is Harley Reid lite and we've got an absolute steal here.
I also come in peace to let you know we don't just have 'fellas' hereI come in peace. Good get fellas. Deserved to be picked up in the actual draft. Can't understand the slide.
Dominates kids? I would rephrase what you said to dominates players his age.Classic man child player.
Dominates kids. Can he dominate big bodies? Too slow? Not fit enough?
Attitude?
You can see why he slid.
Worth a rookie spot. You never know.
Welcome to Hawthorn Ollie, look forward to watching you develop your game and show everyone what you can do. It doesn't matter where or how you are drafted, you have made it!
Cmon Hawks!
EDIT: Highlights:
Who knows tbh with the afl it’s a lotteryYeh in the same article it says we made the submission last year? It's confusing in how it's written.
"The Hawks have been working with Greeves over the past 12 months as part of their submission from last year".
Either we applied in February or the media only caught wind of it in February.

Maybe Sam has already marked him as his project player. Imagine he reaches anywhere near our coaches level.People are saying he is a bull, didn't see that much in the highlights but did like his ability to be in space and like his quick decision making.
Also, might not be a bull in the AFL - looks pretty developed already?
A lot like Sam Mitchell - pretty slow but unbelievable quick thinker.
