Our top order looked very ordinary facing 145km +. Steve Smith looked great against Victoria while his NSW teammates crumbled around him against Vic last week. Not so today - he struggled. Hats off to England's 5 pronged pace battery. Going to be a real handful if they all stay fit.

Yeah there’s a case for what you say. Reality is the Poms bowled beautifully for about the first 15-20 overs. Then we started to settle in a bit.

Then Head, Green, and Carey all just pretty much committed suicide when there was zero need to push the issue.

There is no excuse for dumb batting on that level. You’re 80 behind with 4 days to go. What’s the rush? Particularly when you’re hitting them well when they’re bowling the odd easily hit bad ball.

Make them bowl AT YOU. No need to search for it.

No surprise. The Australian bowling is good, but they're batting is brittle. Shots like Head, Carey and Green played to get out are just a reflection of the influence of T20 nonsense. Building an innings in a traditional red ball sense is not so attractive any more. Only have to look at the Sheffield Shield batting to see the decline. Poms to win the series 3 or 4 zip I reckon. The Aussie batting is f*****.

Top score of 61 this calendar year. He'd be banished in an bygone era and should absolutely be on notice but he's still probably the first batsman picked.

I look at our batting lineup in their current form and just feel ill, in all honesty. I don't even remotely trust any of them.

Only way Australia lose 4-0 is if England stay fit and win every toss.

Only smith, green, Carey, starc, cummins, head should be the guaranteed picks.

Hazelwood should be on limited duty.
