Take this with a grain of salt but I was listening to that True Footy guy's stream, and he intimated being #ITK that Bailey Humphrey is very keen on us specifically

I've actually got no doubt he very much wanted to join us last year because we had by far the most attractive return deal for the Suns, and the other Vic clubs had other targets or didn't have the time to prepare the assets. Next trade period it'll be much harder to get him in with clubs like Hawks having a year to get ready for a trade.

Yeah but we have two firsts and future firsts(if we want) plus his best mate. I think we are cooking something.

They don’t have a strong academy hand next year so seems they won’t mind the early picks. We have 2 first rounders so that’s a good start for Humphrey.

He is a good player but don’t we already have Tholstrup, Sparrow, Culley, Pickett and Langford who can play that mid-forward role?

Still think 2 first rounders in the draft we can do better.

If he was playing for us next year he time would be favourably more mid than forward in our line up imo, probably only going forward to rest or resting as a rotation through the bench. It wouldn't be an even split i don't think, or a balanced role. I feel like he's only doing it at the suns now because there's space in their midfield to rotate guys through when the mains are resting, Miller, Rowel, Anderson (and Petracca Next year)

Kolt tries to get up the ground but is more forward at this stage and unreliable
Sparrow has had minimal success in the guts
Culley seems to be a winger

Langford was played a lot on the wing but should hopefully be attending more inside stoppages next year as part of his evolution
Pickett will probably be at a lot more stoppages next year but will also probably go where the flow of the game is and where he is needed by the coach

I know we just ****ed off trac and clarry but we probably need to pick up some mid to play in the middle, i'm not saying we can't grab one in the draft either, but grabbing one seemingly on the verge of the next step and more advanced would sharpen up that area faster but not recklessly so where it ****s the build or we're getting some old list clogger. It would also move Viney out faster as he's going to get games next year probably out of pure need of that role, to have some campaigner in the team to dive on a ball. And Viney is cooked

I think after 6 first round picks in the last 3 years we could afford to push for a 22 year old quality player. He’s a known quantity and he’s well worth pursuing.

Maybe he and we improve this year and I change my mind, but I don't like the idea of trading multiple firsts for Humphrey right now as a rebuilding team.
The price definitely depends on where we finish and how this years draft looks, also if he can back up or improve this year. 2 x Top 5 picks is a heavy price.

Unless he explodes as a player I can't imagine the price is more than a top 5 pick with maybe a pick 20-30ish

Just don’t think he is the type of bloke we should be going for. Rather throw first rounders at a Mckercher type.

Feel like these power mid forward types quite often never always reach there full potential, been so many let downs, Stringer, Degoey, Rayner, Zurhar, Pedler, Tholstrup, Harley Reid (so far). Even Trac only probably had a good 2-3 years.

Good player, but significant doubts on his ability to be a midfielder long-term. Way too soft
