12th if everything goes right.
18th if everything goes wrong.
I think if Essendon get the same number of wins next year they will have done well. Very unfortunate fixture with no double up on WC/Tigers. Brutal start to the season as well, 7 of the first 10 games against teams from last year’s top 9, as well as Port away which is usually a tough game for anyone.12th if everything goes right.

I counted potential wins in rounds
3 v North
5 v Melbourne
11 v Tigers
12 v West Coast
14 v Melbourne
16 v North
24 v Port
If you win ALL of them and sneak one more against someone else, it leaves you with 8 wins, but I’m not sure that’ll be enough for 12th. This year would’ve been 14th.

Has officially put talks of a new contract with the Hawks on hold according to Mayblooms mouthpiece Cal.
Off to Essendon
Essendon. He's just starting to come into his prime and a huge showing in 2026 will set him up for life wherever he ends up.
Essendon.
Smart from Josh.
He would have done the same whether the Essendon offer was there or not. He'll have sixteen other clubs lining up with their own offers.

Like it from the young fella. Back yourself in.
Unlikely but no harm in asking the question.
Plays for the Hawks and loves it.
Grew up a North supporter.
Parents both on the police force so probably not too keen on going to a club with Essendon's recent history.
A lot of odds stacked against your favour but it's a chance.

Tbh Josh probably needs to nominate a side as early as possible. We saw first hand how the Hawks try to trade, need to give as much time as possible for them to actually be reasonable.
Rather than the "offer disingenuous deals last minute and throw a tantrum when it doesn't work" style.
but but his pawents are in the powiceI'll put it in GIF form for simplicity.
