Got to training at 10ish.

No Dove or Gold on the track which was disappointing.

Simpleton, Curtis and Urqs walking laps have a big old sook.
Urqs is big. If Simpleton could play with his shirt off, he might play better.

Group of 12 year old fangirls trying to bust onto the track giving off St Kilda 2010 vibes.

Delidio running laps have a dirty old squiz.

Training was underwhelming.

A heap of blokes missing.

Sheezel is the best. The rest still eating crayons with their noses.
Thanks, CaptainObvious

Sheez coming in just behind Colby is big. He wasn't even top 10 last year when they all came back.
I wonder if he has made gains on his speed/power too? Hard to do but he’s so committed it wouldn’t surprise me if he worked on all his deficiencies. His weights program could have been geared towards that.

He's heaps leaner and was specifically training these things so he absolutely would have.

Even just getting leaner would have done this. Even if all your power and strength metrics stay the same, going from 15% ish to 10% body fat will yield a significant improvement in speed and power to weight ratio. IMO it's the single biggest factor for power.

I don't know the technical terms but if all is clear in wherever he was labouring this year (my guess would be the groin area) then he should at least be more agile than he was. Haven't forgotten the black magic moment against Cripps in 2024 where he simultaneously basketball-dribbled and did a 90 degree turn to get out of trouble

Logue’s problem isn’t running, even though he was a big heavy last year.

Getting caught between zoning off and defending a player is.
I’ve never seen a back six that are all so poor at judging when to drop off and when to man up.

It’s a cluster**** of epic proportions back there.

Needs to put on some muscle though if he’s main position is inside mid. So the trick is to do that and still improve his speed/power too.

He'll have LDU, Wardlaw, Parker extracting the pill so not sure he needs to add too much more in that regard. His problem this year was getting cooked by pace and transition work rate, not really strength.
