64k in 2025 was ok, but still puts the club in the same category as the small to mid clubs.

With the 17k+ Nas memberships, which were lapsed and new members outside of the 64k, is 80-85k members achievable next year?

LOL , and where do you rate us , of course we are in the mid to small bracket , if you're thinking we are a big club well ,,,,,,,,

I think 75k members is a good target, realistic. Need to get those home game attendances back up past the 32k mark atleast

Exactly. The only way to boost that number is by winning games. Hope is easy to sell when you go into most weekends confident that you could win. The last few seasons have had too many patches of ugly wins/losses.

So if the club gets closer to 90k, does that change your mind?
We are not going from 64k to anywhere 90k next season , Need to learn to walk before you can run

Maybe one day we will have 90k members but that's still miles away IMO

I dont see how membership numbers mean anything when the club was giving them away for seven bucks even for a short time.

I get the advantages and the commercial strategy, and I daresay in the not too distant future, memberships will probably be cheap anyway, but when people can buy one for the price of a snack then it doesnt really say much for how much of a supporter they are.

Attendance numbers and TV ratings of far more interest imo

George, I won't be offended if you decide to to remake this thread in your name as it seems like a few people have me blocked and I don't really mind but I would prefer as many people as possible to see this theead and I don't think it's too early.

Right now I would imagine the club wants to get on the front foot and capitalise on this surge of optimism.

Of course there will be a few nuffies stupid enough to jump off at this decisive moment, but I think a lot more people will be ready to come back from exile when they see the band getting back together - especially for this important year in our history.

I don't expect anyone from the club actually reads this but this is my my point of view as a fan and as someone who understands marketing.

Ross Lyon is a Saints icon just as the St Kilda Football club is a football icon. Both have a rich tapestry of emotions linked to them both positive and negative and that iconography shouldn't go to waste.

2023 is time to celebrate our survival over 150 years of struggle, self-sabotage and natural disaster, but we've done more than just hang in there. This club has given footy some unforgettable moments, some of its best players and unique characters of the game. In a way St Kilda is the soul of the AFL. A club that has lost more times than most could handle, each time picking itself off the canvas and reinventing itself for another crack.

And right now, we're doing it again. A coach who was a few bounces away from being the most successful in our history, back to right the wrongs of his history at the club, as well as the club's own story. A few on-field heroes from the club's past back to help prepare a new generation of players for the fiercest battles. A coming of age for a group of players that the footy world doesn't believe in, a chance for them to stand up and stake a claim in their club's future. A president who acted and flipped the script when many just paid lip service to change. Supporters who have become the dictionary definition of persistence, riding every bump and soaring with every speccie, and sticking fat despite the absence of reward other clubs take for granted in the hope of something truly special.

This is the year when we do it our way, not the conventional way. No more trying to copy successful clubs, we look in the mirror and assume who we are. For better or worse, this is the St Kilda Football Club, we are the Saints; the Red, the White, and the Black. Ross. Lenny. Harvs. BJ. Max. Jack. Jack. Jack. And Jack. But you don't have to be another Jack. Just be you. You're one of us. Get on board for a huge year. Time to throw it all on the table and go for gold. Join now.

ST KILDA 150 - ALL IN

(A couple of cheeky edits there to reflect latest news)

That's a great post mate,I hope some one from the club does read your post and that becomes next years club theme.
ST KILDA 150 • ALL IN ❤️
Finally! We've been "All In" since RTB returned and I could not be more stoked. If anything, the phrase is too subtlety placed here.

The NAS memberships got people on board and enabled the club to get to 62k before December, something that hasn’t happened before ever.

BTW - Carlton had 67,000 members in 2020, in 2021 they gave free memberships to members to give away to friends. They hit over 100k since then.

So since receiving the free memberships those people then took a decision to pay for their membership?

Sorry but never trust a word that comes out of that s**tstain of a club

Yes, my partner is Carlton and there was an automatic renewal attached to them which the MIL and aunt had them. They had a fair few that cancelled the next year, but they kept a fair few of them.

Automatic renewal on the free memberships? ..... that if they didnt cancel they would be automatically charged for the following year?

Yes, the $7 Nas memberships are the same. They roll over to full price memberships the next year with auto renewal until canceled.
Unless you give them back to the club as a donation to give away like i did then they dont roll over 😃
