How’s Williams looking AT, and a few other youngsters in Cowan Wilson Charleson Moir Lord Young O’Keefe as well as Evans, Cheers…Leaving the off-field aside, having a look at training and the difference between Elijah and Will ball in hand, I think is stark.
It's really hard to answer this stuff when you attend a training session - there's so much happening all over the ground that it's sometimes almost impossible to get a read on every player unless they are standing out, or you're specifically looking for them. How’s Williams looking AT, and a few other youngsters in Cowan Wilson Charleson Moir Lord Young O’Keefe as well as Evans, Cheers…
Good post. This is a really important point u make.Let’s hope the coaching staff, learn to use more rotations throughout the midfield and stoppages…
We’ve ran mostly the same 4 players into the ground, fit or struggling injured or due to it down on form…

Or maybe Carey
Totally understand BH with how hard it is to follow players, when they are spread all over the ground doing groups of different workloads, like you’ve mentioned…It's really hard to answer this stuff when you attend a training session - there's so much happening all over the ground that it's sometimes almost impossible to get a read on every player unless they are standing out, or you're specifically looking for them.
Motlop has been the pre-season champion over the past few years, but yet to replicate it into the season proper. Reckon even Soapy V would attest to this.
Having said all that crap, I'm planning on heading to the open training session next week. I'll keep ya's all informed who's the pre-season champion leading into the Xmas break![]()

Managed loads, spread the output of different dynamics, create less dependence on the mainstays, improve the overall quality reliance balance of system & depth…Good post. This is a really important point u make.
The more rotations we can get through the middle the better!
Just allows everyone to stay that much more fresh and run the game out.
Also, the types of rotations we can get through there. I.e. Moir/chesser/mots/ainsworth/ Williams/ jagga ect
It’s a really good blend of inside/out now imo
We know Williams is classy he just can’t keep on the field. All I can say is he was classy in this session and did everything. How’s Williams looking AT, and a few other youngsters in Cowan Wilson Charleson Moir Lord Young O’Keefe as well as Evans, Cheers…
Franks flying, got it… haWe know Williams is classy he just can’t keep on the field. All I can say is he was classy in this session and did everything.
Cowan, Wilson, moir fantastic. Didn’t notice lord and o’keefe a lot. Charleson limited to more a running group/kick to kick drill. And need you about Frank?

Adaption to the 5 on the bench is part of this.Let’s hope the coaching staff, learn to use more rotations throughout the midfield and stoppages…

This is why I'm hoping Reidy goes past Pitto, looks more effective forward and probably a better combo with HOKAdaption to the 5 on the bench is part of this.
Imo clubs playing around with an extra ruck/tall will be left behind by those that go for more midfield rotations.
Agreed, love Pitto but Reidy and HOK need to be our combination. This is why I'm hoping Reidy goes past Pitto, looks more effective forward and probably a better combo with HOK
Quality/impactful duel positional players are and will continue to become more valuable heading forward…Adaption to the 5 on the bench is part of this.

ZW looked unhampered and sharp, Cowan has added a little size and some Tatts, Wilson looked a little timid, Charleson just did kick to kick, Lord was still lord, Young was still Young and HOK was steady, Evans looked lean and confident. Sorry if I a speaking out of turn. How’s Williams looking AT, and a few other youngsters in Cowan Wilson Charleson Moir Lord Young O’Keefe as well as Evans, Cheers…

Also considering the not waiting for the primary ruck, you’ll have to have options around the ground not one running up and down and one resting on the benchI can see our ruck being supported by both HOK & McKay. Depending on what’s happening the option to get either player into game by having ruck minutes is a positive
So many times I have seen McKay get into a game by having a few ruck minutes. Nothing like getting your hands on the ball
IMO.
Pittonet is capable of doing the job as primary ruck but given he's relatively injury prone, hopefully Reidy can close the gap sooner rather than later.
HOK: deep target, rotating into the ruck.
H: no longer has to clear out for Charlie & with a more suitable alternate ruck, returns to what he does best: lead, mark, kick.
Over preseason, it'd be great to monitor the evolution of our forward line.
I believe we'll end up missing C & TDK less than some envision.
Ben Ainsworth also in the mix Soapy.Listening to Hansen talk about forward set up. Seems excited about having options and multiple goal kickers. FINALLY
Love that we will have Hayward Moir Williams Kemp who can play tall or small. Cripps as well.
HOK could easily be our Logan Morris in 2025. Fly Under radar but does the job needed
