Brisbane Banfield wouldn't be good enough to make their 23. Freo just managed a finals game and lost. Banfield was good enough to make the team. Let that sink in.

My best football was played as an athletic full back that could beat his man to the ball or catch up and spoil it to the boundary line. I was instructed not to do so but my instinct when i won the ball was to keep running and look to distribute the ball to keep the momentum going. Only problem was that I was a shit kick and if my foot met the ball everyone would put their head in their hands and start rocking in the corner. Oh sorry were we talking about Walker?
Anyway Pearce seems to know when to go and when not to go, hopefully Walker can learn it too.

Peel is probably the best place for him with a call up here and there when need a fill in.

No one inside or outside the club would argue Banfield is best 23 based on skill or ability alone. But hes incredibly durable and consistent which means as long Young, Wagner, Worner, Fyfe, Walters, Walker, Sturt kept missing extended periods of games with injury, there was always a spot for him somewhere.

Lmao... Best 23 at a given point in time is the players that will field the team on match day. So if there are injuries, or in the case of Banners 2025 he took his chance when moved into defence with limited experience but still managed to contribute to our team defence, especially during that stretch of wins. This made him best 23..COMPRENDO?! Lol

If you want best 23 on paper go stick to ya fantasy footy where the players don't need take the field lol
