But Swadling particularly caught my eye. Accumilates the ball, not just by hard work but his running capacity to being in the right spots. His kicking looked fine to me.
Different Kicking in Training Drills then in Actual Game or even Game Simulation

You don’t say 😂
Just like kicking goals at training is different to kicking goals in a game
But if you don’t train how you play then how else will it come off in game time

I wonder if I read too much into reports like these.
  • I like the comments about Smit and Steene supporting Cameron, no mention of Buller etc.
  • No mention of Ryan, Dimattea or Hayes.
  • Long, Perryman and Harrison testing well gets a big thumbs up.
  • Cochran the athlete gets a mention.
  • No West or Buller.
  • TJ and McStay persistent injuries 😟
  • This years drafted players get a mention.
I’m never sure where the insight crosses over to a sales brochure. I enjoy.

Can’t mention everyone from one session 😂
But didn’t see Buller doing any ruck work

Thanks. I want to know about all of the players. And everyone has their favourites. I hope my comments weren’t viewed as negative. The main part visible at the moment is the trails of suspected and previously unknown injuries. I keep wondering about position and game plan changes but that is a long way away.!I just enjoy the journey.

It's only the first day of training. Relax. 😆

I was offended. They kept calling players campaigners.

Without having had the chance to get into this I assume Pendles was training with the defensive group? Because it looked to me like Perryman was with the mids.
Correct
Pendles was with the defenders and Perryman with the mids

You and I both.

I rewatched some of Swadling highlights and I forgot how much of a great season he had in the juniors. I can see how him being a fan favourite!

Well won there Best and Fairst playing only 7 Games out of 18

If you want to be a critic maybe turn up yourself and see if you can do better.

Yep, apparently so. Which I like very much.
Me too. Zorko’s shown that smart, creative and experienced types don’t need to be defensively minded or quick to do damage off HB. Jaicos is another in the sense that he thrived down back despite being roughly on par with Noble defensively (he obviously has the wheels Zorko doesn’t).

It’s a no brainer move to release Perryman to become the next 2020’s Pendles replacement, IMO. No superstar just a rock solid 22-23 possession, 4-5 clearance, 4-5 tackle and 3-4 I50 mid.

And it would be great to see someone in that role that wasn't a total flog.
