Why the **** would we bring in a player that was playing average vfl footy and was iffy to even stay on the list for 2026? 🤔
Why wouldn't if, if just to see what he can do at AFL level before being delisted?

Giving him a 4 week block isn't costing Richmond the flag next year.

A true rebuild.. we didn’t hang on to our Dion Prestia and Tom Lynch
No but you extended your Yeo & Kelly and still have Cole , Owies , Cripps in your best team
and have Flynn & Williams as your Ruckman

The eagles are more Richmond than Richmond these days
Blair will call Matty at the end of the year with which players we can dispose ;)

West Coast Tigers kind of sounds good

The Richmond team is that inflexible and lacks players with any versatility they can’t fit a rebounding defender for a wingman in?

Hard to believe.
You must have amnesia if you cant remember Richmond had 19 players on the injury list and had only 1-3 AFL listed players playing in the VFL and the club went into the season with 5 ACL injuries

But lets not let truth get in the way of delusional fantasies
Looking at the West Coast list reminds me of shopping at the Reject Shop

He absolutely did not, he played as a backmen before playing inside mid at the champs.

I never said Smith should play wing, move a rebounding defender out there and play smith in his preferred position, it’s what rebuilding sides do.
LOL talk about back tracking with tail between the legs

Smith should have played instead of McIntosh :D :D :D :D

Yeah smith could also have played instead of Lynch & Nankervis

Not sure you will, carried this year by your older stalwarts. Only direction is down for the Tigers.
Jesus what a statement to make about a team that finished 17th in the 2nd year of a rebuild in a 18 team competition with the 18th team in year 4 of their rebuild. Im sure you must have been great at visual arts at school

Looking at the best and fairest it’s pretty clear to see how the tigers get worse in the next few years.

Most of those players will be around long enough for the kids to get the experience they need to improve enough to take their spots.

This idea you have that you must play 18 year olds to rebuild isnt even shared by your club. Its such a strange hill to die on, even for the biggest of nuffies.

Not to mention the top 12 in our B & F featured 7 players with a median age of 24, the oldest of them currently 28yo.

Everyone knows we have to tread water for a couple of years while the bulk of our talent finds their feet and matures.

When you have 8 1st year players and 19 injuries on a list

Do i really need to explain why certain players finished well on the B & F ?

2 ex richmond players are in your top 5 B& F and your top 10 includes Ryan , Cripps , Duggan FFS
But that was already explained to you months ago.

As i said Amnesia must be an issue with you - See a doctor

Show me where I’ve said this though, I’ve suggested the results this season are more reflective of a good year from your senior players than any “rebuild” and you would have been better off getting games into a possible future prospect than a retiring Mcintosh.

you said a true rebuild = playing the kids

A true rebuild does = actually giving the kids games, instead of Kamdyn Mcintosh.

Here it is.

We just going to ignore the latter half of my sentence then? Show me where my own club prioritised a retiring player over youth this season.
Well considering you were replying to my very specific statement regarding a true rebuild apparently = only playing kids according WC fans, I think we can ignore it.

Your post above is also factually incorrect, we played the kids, we didnt play a small HB on the instead of a wingman. We also had at one stage, almost noone available in the ressies. The fact you pick one player just shows how little you know.

Would you prefer I had added “no, but” at the start of my sentence? Anyone with an elementary understanding of English can see I wasn’t agreeing with your premise. Hence the latter half can’t be ignored.

I’m aware, hence why I specifically highlighted Kaleb Smith as a player who in my eyes has potential and should feel stiff not getting more games this year.

Just based on his draft year, has the tools to make a good rebounding defender imo. Club clearly agrees or he wouldn’t have gotten the extra year👍

Talking down one of your players to try prove a point is a choice though.
Based on his draft year, woweeee. That is a peak BF opinion.

Right, so the club agrees with you, but then didnt play him? So which is it? You have a tit in each camp at the moment. Stay desperate Shoe

Haven’t watched much VFL, his draft year he showed clear AFL attributes in his pace and defensive work.

The club clearly agrees he has potential given they’ve given him another year, despite that they prioritised Mcintosh. These aren’t conflicting statements, in fact it reiterates my original point. Keep up Morro.

I have never seen anyone deny a loss more than you. I am actually starting to respect the hustle.

You just misinterpret statements to turn it into an argument you think you can win. To clarify a club can believe a player has potential while not playing them, it’s actually more damning they didn’t play him considering they’ve given him the extra year.

Came here excited to see the latest pillow fight installment of the Eagles/Tiggers rebuilds and future prospects; and it hasn't disappointed.

But I will digress and state, after the 2025 draft, both seem to be travelling nicely (with WC loving the Oscar A 2nd pick gimme from the AFL).

Tiggers with more depth in recent draftees, but WC have a couple of gems (Harley thank the Lord Reid & Shanahan) and some nice workhorses (i.e. Ginbey).

Future Prospects = some nice early 2026 draft picks.

Maybe add to WC some more juicy AFL concessions & combined with their stacked shelf of 2026 NGA and F/S's = looking forward to both clubs being off the list of clubs getting a right royal rogering as the boots begin to be sunk into the Collywobbles as they tumble down the ladder and cause the NDIS to suffer a shortfall in funding for their aged care packages.
