How far is that from Gaza?
Be a bit of a hike, but, Australias best potato cakes are at the Tongala Take Away which is just a handful of minutes away! And there's a pretty awesome Light Horse and Armoured Corps memorial there. With amongst other things, a pretty ripping ode to the Horses left behind.

The sole returning horse, Sandy, belonged to Major General Sir William Bridges, who was killed at Gallipoli in 1915. It was his dying wish that Sandy be returned home, a request which was eventually granted due to government pressure and special arrangements before strict quarantine conditions were universally applied. Sandy lived out his days in retirement at the Maribyrnong Remount Depot in Victoria, and after his death, his head was preserved and is displayed at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.

Jesus Chad. Can you go one day without causing controversy.

What do you call a flat slice of pineapple covered in batter and deep fried?

It's not a pineapple cake.
It's not a pineapple scallop.

Put aside your parochial bias and deep down you'll know the truth.

There's one and only one objectively and undeniably correct nomenclature for the little fried bit of potato gold that we all know and love.

Search your hearts. You know I'm right.
