I finally got thru to the end of my queue at 10:33am and I was offered seats at the back of section 542 which I did not like. I tried multiple times for other locations but Ticketek kept offering seats in the nose bleed sections before I was timed out.
I got back into a queue at 10:45am at number 25,906 and got to the end of the queue at 11:30am and by then all the best seats were already taken so I was forced to accept seats on level 5 on the eastern side for fear of missing out for the second year in a row.
Bloody Ticketek!!!

I don’t like the lousy first options that Ticketek offer as the majority of the times they are in the nose bleed levels and not preferable to view football games.
If you’re early in the queues, you should be able to choose your preferred seating if they are available and not accept inferior options that Ticketek offer.
I’ll like to know their algorithms for offering the BEST available seating!!!!!

When you have been waiting for an hour and need to get back to work you take whats on offer. Lucky i have a good boss so he allowed me to slack off today. I got good seats anyway. 302. Row D

"Best seats" means best for Ticketmaster, not the consumer

Some dude called fiveaa and said he got a free ticket with his Adelaide Ovall Football membership and $20 tickets for the other Adelaide Oval games. That was like last year. I didnt end up trying my father in laws AOFM membership card cause he said he didnt want to go as it wasnt free. Dont tell me SMA members have got a free ticket.

I tested it using my father in laws Sma ticket just now. Got free tickets for both Adelaide and port games and $25 for the the other two matches

Finally got in. Row DD. Great for bras, not so much for footy. Jeeeeezus.

For a Port GWS game I found a row DD and sat in seat 69

You can guess what the view from there is........Nice (Those 300 bay seat western stand back there is on par with my row B seats 500 levels East...)

Dont think about it. Once seats are offered. Accept them and move on. Had no problem

Knew I wanted 400 levels East.
Got Selected 408
Got given Row B
Accepted and moved on

Literally had my tickets by 10:15 and that was even with the very minor issue of having to log back in



If you jump around, it still blocks out the past tickets for a bit; thinking it's still in your cart. And you'll soon get the message 'nothing available for x seats' when there's still thousands left. When hundreds of people are being selfish it creates the problem 'can i get better, can i get better' computer says taken when not. It times out, creates problems.

The website is actually pretty good if you know what you're doing. The problem is selfish and/or ignorant people, create a loop that causes themselves to time out and forces others into worse seats.

Then we get the bad luck stories here, which is 75% of the time, people complaining about the system, when they were actually selfish, 20% of the time, people complaining about the system when they were actually caught in cross fire of selfish people vs ticketek and 5% of the time genuine problems.

We didn’t get them yesterday, got kicked out and then shit seats left.

I went on today, bought 2 tickets for $20 with a restricted view, front row third level of southern stand , I’ll take that, presume it’s just glass.

I selected bay134 level 1 east wing and was offered bay 542 on level 5.
I was not advised that the seats in bay134 were exhausted so why was I offered seats in bay 542?
According to you I should have been offered best available in bay134!
