Yes we did. Haters will maintain that its jobs for the boys, but he was likely the best available to us.
I agree 100%I get he’s not an elite coach but what the **** has cox achieved to be coach over him
I'd thought the AFL would be pissed at Cox for taking their nepo babies from 1st to 10th on the ladder in 1 year.AFL probably think he would get the Sydney market at least a little bit interested in the event.

Not really the point I was making. Do you really think we will land many Victorian Assistant coaches if two big Vic clubs are also putting offers down? Or at least land them consistently enough to not consider it fairly unlikely to happen? What gives any reason to think that Gia is any better than Corey, Graham or Rawlings?
Coming from Essendon’s footy program is hardly a great endorsement.
I think we are good at getting coaching talent personally.
Nah it was one of those one-in-ten year strategic drop down the ladder so they'd have an extra good pick for Curnow..I'd thought the AFL would be pissed at Cox for taking their nepo babies from 1st to 10th on the ladder in 1 year.

I've never, ever heard the AFL media refer to the three above that you mentioned as 'head coaches in waiting' either.
Graham, 41, is considered a senior coach in waiting and is interested in stepping up to take the reins at an AFL club in future.

Jaymie Graham another out of running for WC job
Fremantle's Jaymie Graham is the latest highly-rated assistant coach to rule himself out of the running for the vacant West Coast senior job.www.espn.com.au
It’s just a bit irrelevant - if a big vic club and us want an assistant coach, they very well may choose Freo if they want to be a head coach and they see us as their best chance to get there.
obese parrot. ClassicI agree 100%
Being chosen behind the obese parrot as coach is an insult to Justin

I'm not a massive J-Lo fan, I probably never will be. If he ever becomes a Premiership winning coach, fair play to him. He will have persevered like no other.Justin Longmire![]()
that's an interesting take Quarnor3I'm not a massive J-Lo fan, I probably never will be. If he ever becomes a Premiership winning coach, fair play to him. He will have persevered like no other.
It's incredulous the level of disrespect he gets shown though, especially in the so-called professional world of journalism. Laughable. He's coming into his 7th year, how hard is it. Really?!?! How hard?!?!
Never ceases to amaze me how many rudderless knob jockeys there are out there, in the world. It's why I end up living mostly like a hermit watching on from afar and avoiding them at all costs. Disgraceful
