Haha here comes the thought police again. Making YouTube videos in your garage and you act like you work for the club now.

People can say whatever they want about players despite it hurting your feelings, get over yourself.

Embarrassing post.
People can say what they want within reason, but with the emotive language and stretching to insult others, you kinda are showing alot of hyper-sensitivity when you cop less back.

Maybe don't dish it out if you can't take it.

Pretty easy to sit on a forum and make comments about players anonymously but I can guarantee not a single poster would say the derogatory things they post on here directly to a players face.

Firstly show a bit of respect to our players and cut out the needless sledging.

You can argue the point in a much more civil way without being degrading.

If nothing else it’s a really bad reflection of you.

Secondly, he has runs on the board doing this at vfl level in preparation for it to be used at afl level, averaging about 17-22 disposals per game and linking really well between the arcs, opening the game up.

We have seen it already in spurts playing higher up the ground at stoppages, this is the next phase.
As I stated earlier the ridiculous support for MRJ is unbelievable. What have we seen in spurts? 5 years of low possession and disgraceful disposal. Runs on the board at VFL level mean nothing when he's not replicated it at AFL level. This is not about respect for our players. It's about respect for performance. You have to earn respect in AFL and his performance so far is nothing short of RS. Unless his contribution to the team improves out of site, his next phase is delisting.

MRJ Midfield wow. NO WAy. Earn it first.

People like Michaels who actually bring us some content are what makes BF go around, as without it all that’s left is reading nuffie comments from people like you and me.

Don’t discourage people who bring content by belittling them and trying to make them feel like sh*t.

Keep it up Michaels … content of any kind is great.

Yeah. I hope that we don't see a lot of he other guys in the midfield, but we do see them regularly. E.g. I'd love for Campbell to attend a few centre bounces/ball ups as a mid each quarter. Not too much, but to get used to the role and to see what he does. If we can develop him into a genuine mid (even part timer) we have a massive weapon - he's A grade.

I'm quite happy to lose 2 more games this year doing this kind of thing, if we develop our midfield depth.

If we leave 2026 with our 2024/5 draftees having shown a bit and learnt a lot, and we have at least 2 of KMac, Campbell, MRJ and Sonsie showing that they can be AFL mids we have a future midfield sorted. After that it is all cream. And once your midfield is sorted then you can draft/trade to fill holes and add an edge here and there. Time to move from what we have had to what will be.
It’s very early days for our young mids.

Remember, Naicos played more than a season off half back before being deployed into midfield. Scheezel more than 2 x seasons. Ed Richards and Hayden Young more than 5….Heeney about 7, NWM 4 years, and so on …

I agree with not wanting to see many CBA’s with all of TT, Prestia and Hopper in 2026 … but there’s also plenty of time to give midfield exposure, and if this means some youngsters attend very few CBA’s in 2026, doesn’t mean that’s their lot for their whole career.

Outside of his chat with Rhy all he does is summarise other people’s content. He needs to create his own brand and content to be of any interest to me.

True, but on the other hand, he has shown glimpses where he can run on to a loose ball or break free from the pack and with his acceleration is gone and taking us forward like not many if any of our mids can do. So he adds a point of difference. If he can improve his ball use, which is a reasonable assumption given his limited midfield game, he could be injected through the middle on occasions.
Couldn’t we say the same about Thomson Dow and others who have had as much chance as MRJ and are gone?
I just don’t think he’s got the elite ball use skills you want, let alone he doesn’t get it much in the first place.

You're quite correct. Dow's performance over the last couple of years, even though sub standard was at a higher level than MRJ. His possession rate much better than Rioli. Yet Rioli survives. Why?
